You could try and build your own with a raspberry pi (which you can install linux on) and a USB cellular modem, which seems to be possible: http://shkspr.mobi/blog/2012/07/3g-internet-on-raspberry-pi-success/ You would need to attach a power source to the whole thing, but it would still be relatively compact. Re: Carmen & Camille News: IDGAF Now on iTunes
Hi all, replying to myself I wanted to give a small heads' up: 1. I noticed a Yedioth Ahronoth "ממון" headline which said that iTunes is coming to Israel. Nevertheless, I still doubt it will be usable either on Linux or without the need to install proprietary software on the host computer, and it's hard to tell in advance how much of the global iTunes selection will be available for purchase by Israelis. 2. I tried to purchase a single on http://thepianoguys.com/newstore/ , but for the life of me, could not understand how to perform a checkout with PayPal. So I gave up on the idea (I can download a video with the music from YouTube using a YouTube downloader, but wanted to perform a purchase as a token of appreciation). 3. On the bright side I was able to purchase the new EP (titled /Omen/) on http://store.destroyangels.com/ by using PayPal, though I had to give them my home address for some reason. 4. I have yet to hear back from Carmen & Camille. "Cellular" sounds like a major drivers issue. Re: anybody knows of a mifi i can run linux on ?
http://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-TL-WR703N-Wireless-iphone4-android/dp/B005VEJ3GM $30 on Amazon and takes openwrt directly: http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr703n You do have to provide an external 3G modem on a USB stick but it's easy with the built in USB host port Good luck!
