Re: [LincolnTalk] Logan to Lincoln tomorrow at 5pm...recommendations appreciated!

2023-07-13 Thread buzz.constable
The Sumner Tunnel from East Boston to the City is closed until late August.
Both the Ted Williams and the Callahan from Boston to East Boston are open.

I went to Logan late this morning. Getting there from I - 90 was easy.
Getting from Logan through the Ted Williams to the Pike was about 35 minutes at
11:00 AM.

Lynn’s solution through Chelsea to Cambridge or Medford might be a solution,
but it’s worth checking with Google Map or its brethren.

Is there any reason that taking I-90 to the Ted Williams Tunnel to and from
Logan doesn't work?

I suggest a UBER--But it did take almost 2 hours to get to Lincoln and the
route goes thru Chelsea to Route 16 to Route 2.

Good luck--

It is definitely a difficult trip..

I’ve taken the Silver Line to South Station, then Red Line to Alewife for a
pickup (or Uber). It can take a while if MBTA schedules are delayed, but is
pretty simple to navigate.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had experience traveling from Logan since the Callahan Tunnel
closure? Our niece is coming in tomorrow, arriving at 4:51 PM, terminal C.
We're trying to figure out the best way for her to get to Lincoln.

There are several options but I'm wondering if anyone has first hand
experience/recommendations that they can share? Logan Express? Ferry or Blue
Line to the aquarium? Drive to pick up? Unfortunately, her arrival time
couldn't be worse!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
