Re: Percent repeat questions
Both look like bugs to me. The problems with grace notes are well-known. /Mats Richard Schoeller wrote: I've been running into some issues with percent repeats and want to see if there are suggestions. If you have a line that is completely percent repeats, then RemoveEmptyStaffContext removes the line. This gets me alot in ensemble scores where the bass and percussion are repetive and the melody parts are very busy. Is there anyway to avoid this? I would like to be able to specify percent repeats but have it automagically unfold the measure at each new line. This would be similar to chordChanges = ##t for chord names. Is there anything like that? The final thing is a bug. And I have not been able to find a workaround. If one part has precent repeats and another part has measures that begin with a grace note, then the percent repeats will be mispositioned in the measures near the one with the grace note. This can even result in a percent repeat mark at the very beginning of the line. Notes having two values contemporaneously
Hello! I'm trying to type a piece by Robert Schumann: "Des Abends" (Evening) from the Phantasiestücke op. 12 for piano solo. The time-signature is 2/8 (no mistake!!) and the right hand plays tuplets in 16th-notes for almost the entire piece. So there are two tuplets a measure with stems down but they are printed in a manner that every second note is not only a 16th-note but at the same time an 8th-note with stem UP! Does anybody know how to do that? I'm using lily 2.2.5 on a windows-operated machine. I believe this is a variation on a well known bug. I think the workaround is related to this comment in "5.7.11 Grace notes" If you want to end a note with a grace, the standard trick is to put the grace notes after a “space note” ... Actually I think it involves putting space notes in the other staves. I can't find the reference I have seen about this at the moment.
