Re: KX-T: KXTA624 want easiest solution to have computer to dial out on co2
Yes, try dialing 82 instead of 9 The 624 lets you group the co's into different trunk groups, but the default puts co1 in group 1, co2 in group 2, etc. (program code 404). If 82 doesn't get you the response you want, then the groups may have been modified and may need to be reprogrammed. If this is always going to dial an outside line and it is a dedicated extension, you can program it for Pickup Dialing. You set the time in 203 to 1 second, and dial 742 82 # then 741 # to set it on. In your modem string, start the dial sequence with a comma. If you need that extension for other things, you can always just dial 82 for the second line and skip pickup dialing. Re: KX-T: KXTA624 want easiest solution to have computer to dial outon co2
you should not dial thru the phone system a to d conversion causes slow connection I would not advise unless you are satisfied with 19,200 connection -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Larry Sent: Friday, December 22, 2006 10:33 PM Cc: kxt@kxthelp.com Subject: Re: KX-T: KXTA624 want easiest solution to have computer to dial outon co2 A quess, most pano's also have trunk groups. So 81 should select co1. 82 selects co 2, up to 88. Also there should be settings for "co outgoing" day and night that will allow you to set the port you are dialing out on to only select the co's that are "enabled" (when dialing 9). BTW- 81 thru 88 would replace the 9 on making an outgoing calls. -larry / dallas douglas brander wrote: >I have a computer that still needs to dial out (to peanut gallery: it's a >computer to program subscriber's alarm panels). Have the computer dial 82 instead of 9...9 is first available idle line, 8 + the line number is for access to a specific line. Re: KX-T: KXTA624 want easiest solution to have computer to dial outonco2
The 624 doesn't do an A/D-D/A conversion...and most alarm panels use 9600 or less anyway. KX-T: VOIP
We use a Panasonic KX-TD1232-5(I think) PBX with 4 lines. We also have broadband. We are considering replacing 3 of those Verizon supported lines with VOIP using equipment similar to Pannaway to do the conversion which will leave the PBX intact. Has anyone done this and if so, what are your comments? Thanks. -- Larry Email to rapp at lmr dot com _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
