KX-T: Upgrade a KXT-1232 to get caller ID

2006-06-29 Thread Dan O'Neill
Hi all,

I'm in need of someone to spec out an upgrade / change over of our
KXT-1232-7.

Current config:
T1 card with 8 voice channels from XO Communications
No caller ID card or caller-id info on the T1
   Single cabinet
   14 digital handsets

What I'd like to do is upgrade the KSU to support caller ID and change
over to whatever telephone line type is required to get caller-id digits
and reprogram the KSU appropriately.

I installed and programmed this system with a friend a few years back so
I'm somewhat familiar, but not intimately so, with the system.

I'm located in La Jolla California. I need a bid with part numbers,
prices, lead time, etc.. and if you aren't local and want me to be your
remote hands, that's fine, you just have to be able to tell me exactly
what you'd like done at this end.

Thank you,

Dan O'Neill

KX-T: 1232 phantom ext not ringin

2006-06-29 Thread Dan O'Neill
KSU: kxtd-1232-7
VPS: TVS120

We've got several phantom extensions setup and several phones setup with
one or more phantom appearances. One extension is seemingly setup
just like another and yet the phantom appearance will not ring.

Jack: 04-1
Ext: 107

CO button setting from the DOS software
CO06 PHANTOM[271 ]:R-ON

If I go to the extension 107 and press button CO06, it dials 271 as I
expect. If I dial 271 from some other extension, CO06 on extension 107
does not ring or light up or anything. If I dial extension 107 from
another extension, the phone rings.

Oh, and I've assigned other phantom extensions (270, 272) to extension
107 on various CO buttons and it still doesn't work. I've even replaced
the digital handset at extension 107. I've rebooted the KSU, etc.. etc..

I've even gone as far as assigning phantom 271 to another random CO
button on a random extension and that works fine too. There's something
programmed on jack 04-1 that isn't letting the phantom extension ring at
the associated extension.

I think I've just forgotten something about adding a phantom extension
to an additional jack (phone on the desk). I've read through the 1232
installation and programming manual and just can't figure out what I
might be missing. Help!

Thanks,

dano
