Re: KX-T: Unanswered calls to another ext
Hello, Rick, You can do it easy using covering extension, as Joe koberq wrote. On the TVS50 You need to do the following: - Create new Mailbox and set Phantom Extension as Extension of the Owner of this Mailbox. From the phone you can do this in the System Manager's Service: - Dial the Extension number connected to the Voice Mail Service, or dial any VPS Extension number and Press [#][6][*][999]. If You have the password, enter it now. Then Press [6][1][1]. Type the new mailbox number and accept it, pressing by [2]. After this set the Owner's extension of this mailbox (it must be a phantom extension), pressing [2][1]. Enter the Owner's extension Number and accept it, pressing by [2]. After You complete creating new mailbox, you need reprogramm it. - Dial the extension number connected to Voice Mail Service, or dial any VPS extension and press [#][6][*]. Enter the the mailbox number you just create. Then enter [4][1]. Disable all Transfer Services, pressing by [5]. After that press [2][1] and enter the covering extension number (that number, where all unanswered call will be forwarding). Accept it, pressing by [2]. Then press[4] and enable Covering Extension Status, pressing by [2]. Disable all other Incomplete Call Handlings Statuses. That's all. Now all unanswered calls to phantom extension will be transferred to other extension, whicn You set as Covering Extension in new mailbox. As addition, the first part of programming (creating mailbox) you can do much easy, using our KX-TVS50 software - TVSAssistant. All you need to do is: - Start TVSAssistant and connect it to Your VPS. - In the TVS parameters menu choose Mailbox Listing. Add new mailbox, clicking on the button "Insert New Row" in the upper left corner of Mailbox Listing window. Set all parameters you need in this mailbox and press "Apply" button. KX-T: OT: door dingus
Anyone know what that switch that hangs over the door & trips when the door opens is called? It trips a small gong to let folks in the office know someone just walked in... I can picture it; an arm, pendulem, contact but can't think of a good Google noun. I have a plan B in mind; a standard recessed contact, a gonger that goes off once when it opens, and a PIR inside so that when someone leaves, it's silent, but that will take some design. -- A host is a host from coast to [EMAIL PROTECTED] & no one will talk to a host that's close[v].(301) 56-LINUX Unless the host (that isn't close).pob 1433 is busy, hung or dead20915-1433 _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt

Most phone systems play the "music on hold when the voice mail is transferring. If you don't want to use MOH, get a digital recorder from Viking and record some ring back tone and play that into your MOH input. David: Here's a thought...you could use a alarm system mag/reed contact unit to pull a ground and fire a one shot timer type ckt. using an NE555 timer. I've got an ol' RS enjuneer's handbook 'round heresaw in one of the tumultuous piles that exist in my office...You know the one that Forrest Mims wrote for them in the good ol' days, when they sold electronics parts instead of cell phones. So.. the thought being...you could rig this lil circuit to fire on the N.O. to N.C.and pull the ground to fire the one shot, then when the door closes the reed would go back to N.O. and the ckt. would reset for the next pull.found it.yeah a one shot tone burst set at 880Hz...and you could build a little Power supply...or ...hey run it off a ..bbb.battery! Re: KX-T: OT: door dingus
Why use unreliable electronics? just go to the diy store and buy an old fashioned electromechanical chime, transformer and microswitch. use the "backdoor" coil. it chimes when the switch closes and is quiet when the switch opens. or be fancy, use the "frontdoor" coil, high chime when the switch closes and a low chime when it opens. (a door open and a door closed chime, wow ;-) and only $12 total parts. ultimate no energy system, hang a bell from the door ;-) but brass cow bells are expensive these days. (cat collar, $1 from the dollar store?) and it's unique these days. have fun, larry 6/1/05 9:13:17 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >David: > >Here's a thought...you could use a alarm system mag/reed contact unit to >pull a ground and fire a one shot timer type ckt. using an NE555 timer. >I've got an ol' RS enjuneer's handbook 'round heresaw in one of the >tumultuous piles that exist in my office...You know the one that Forrest >Mims >wrote for them in the good ol' days, when they sold electronics parts instead >of >cell phones. > > >So.. the thought being...you could rig this lil circuit to fire on the N.O. >to N.C.and pull the ground to fire the one shot, then when the door closes >the reed would go back to N.O. and the ckt. would reset for the next >pull.found it.yeah a one shot tone burst set at 880Hz...and you could >build a >little Power supply...or ...hey run it off a ..bbb.battery! _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt

Re: KX-T: OT: door dingus
Yes EZ Tone is fully mechanical, no batts and very easy to find on the internet for about $25.00 including shipping. Alarm contacts are available in any configuration you want NO, NC, "C" but in order to handle repeated switching of voltage you must specify certain models because most only handle very low current. www.sentrol.com EZ Tone only gongs on opening. One gong. Re: KX-T: OT: door dingus
Customer had a rat shack unit. It had a transformer that plugged into an ac outlet. The base unit was on one side of the door and a reflector was on the other side. Just like the ones used in the 7 eleven's. They said that it would go off for no reason. I kept the ding donger (buzzer) and roped a n/o contact that I attached to the top plat of the door. Its just like the ones used for alarm systems. It does ding gong every time the door contacts are broken. My power source was a standard class 2 transformer (18 to 24 vac) on the secondary windings.
