KX-T: KXTA624 need solutions...
Help needed for a solution to call forward several extensions to one. Setup is KXTA624 (6x16) with Kxtvs50 as an auto attendant. Problem is all extension is call forward to Voice Mail box when not answered. This is a high turn over office when extensions are vacant, calls from auto attendant need to be covered by someone. I had program multiple messages waiting buttons at the covering extension but that does not help with answering incoming calls. With a digit system I would of use phantom buttons with ring groups. Is their any solution other changing to a KXTA1232? Also I am getting a load buzz on the external page horn I had check power supply, cable run and connection all appears good. It is a Wheelock sa-h15-b horn with Speco psr-2/24 power supply. _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
KX-T: External/off-site paging
Do any of the KXTA or KXTD systems allow you to call in from off site and make an "all call" page over the speakerphones. If not, is there a work around to allow this? Doug _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
KX-T: Off site paging
The only paging from off site, I am aware of, is either a pre recorded announcement ie "I have a call for" + mailbox name or using Caller ID "Caller ID Name" + "is calling". What I am in the need of doing is calling in and getting an open mic, like hitting ICOM 339, only from off-site. It's kinda hard to believe there isn't a way to do this somehow. _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
KX-T: Re: External/off-site paging
Hi Doug, Here's a "simple" way I use at home, since my kids rarely answer the phone. There is a Page feature available in each TVS mailbox. What it does is to announce the "owner's name" of that box over the internal paging. Normally it says something like "I have a call for _Joe Smith_" where Joe Smith was the owners name that Joe recorded in his mailbox. I set up mailbox 123 and turned on Intercom Paging (in option 4-auto attendant status/ 1-call transfer status/ 3-intercom paging). Then I recorded the "owners name" for 123 to be "somebody pick up the phone, Dad's calling". Finally I went in the pre-recorded prompts and deleted the prompt that says "I have a call for..." (in the TVS50 it was prompt number 266) I'd have to look it up for other TVS systems. To change the prompts, go into box 998 then 5-6-1-1 to get to "change selected prompts". You could also probably do something with routing an analog extension back into a co port to access page features but I've never tried that. Re: KX-T: Dead Power supply? KX-T123211D
A few years ago, I did some research and found instructions on fixing KX-T123211D power supplies in the archives. (I actually used the instructions to fix a KX-TVP150 power supply, which is similar to the KX-T123211D.) This is what I found: --- From: "Richard Smith" I just had two KX-T123211D system power supplies die in the last week (we have around 30 to maintain). The symptoms are, dead system, no lights, no smoke, no blown fuse. I would suggest if it's smoked or the fuse blows, then send it to the Atlanta depot, otherwise read on. Both failures occurred after the system was unplugged from the ac power for a short time after running for years. The problem is caused by two capacitors in the oscillator section of the supply, C112 and C113 which should be replaced with low impedance 10uf 50v electrolytic capacitors such as Digi-Key's P10316-ND which sells for .19 each qty 10. If you find that C109 is a 1uf 50v electrolytic, replace that also with a .1 50v mylar which is a factory change. I have fixed about a half dozen units this way so far, which is a lot cheaper than sending them to the Atlanta depot which I used to do. I suspect that all of my 30 some systems will probably fail in this way eventually. The repair job will take you about an hour as there a lot of screws to remove and replace. Other than this weakness, these systems seem indestructible. > After a power failure of 3+hours, the KX-T123211D -3 doesn’t power > up. RE: KX-T: Dead Power supply? KX-T123211D
Timothy, After replacing C112,C113, and C109, the system is up and operating. (I replaced exactly the same parts 47uf, 10uf, 1uf as I wasn’t sure the rev numbers of the power supply -- and the parts store only had 1 10mf electrolytic!) My power supply part number is pqqt4181za. Thanks very much! A replacement power supply from Panasonic is $636!. Ed -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Is their any solution other changing to a KXTA1232? Rube Goldberg is alive and well. Take a spare extension and wire it to an incoming trunk. Program that trunk to ring whatever phones you need. You'll pay the -3dB penalty for double padding a trunk to a station to a trunk to a station, but it works :-). Also I am getting a load buzz on the external page horn I had check power supply, cable run and connection all appears good. It is a Wheelock sa-h15-b horn with Speco psr-2/24 power supply. How does it appear good? Move it to the KSU. It could be sheilding on the page cable, it could be a bad power supply, or it could be a bad page circuit in the KSU. Speaking on Deep Background, the Press Secretary whispered: > > Timothy, > > After replacing C112,C113, and C109, the system is up and operating. > Good save... If I follow corrrectly; the power supply makes 24VDC only? And regulators further downstream handle it from there? If so, you can always just supply it with an external supply of 24v...
