KX-T: Is There A Way To Turn The Message Light On?
Sorry if this is a repeat... I sent the message a couple of days ago, but haven't seen it come back through the system... Is there any way to turn the message light back on after listening to your messages? I have a TA624 connected to a TVS75, and am sharing a mailbox with my wife. If I listen to a message that's not for me, I want to leave it and have the light come back on. (It's not too important if it's marked as a new message or an old message, although it would be nice to leave it marked as new.) The only way I've found to light the message light is to leave a "dummy" message with the TVS75 immediately after playing the messages. Not a great solution. Any ideas? Create 3 mailboxes, General, yours and hers. All messages go into the general message box which lights an extension. Now, as you listen to the messages, transfer them to another mailbox if they are not for you. It will light another message light. Delete the name "UNUSED" for all extensions thus named in program 103. Is that the > default > behavior or have I mucked something up This is the normal default operations of the voicemail, when you don't have an extension forwarded to voice mail. Fowarding an extension to voicemail (Intercom FWD/DND button, press 5, and dial 165) will forward all calls on a busy or no answer condition to the person's mailbox. In turn the personal greetings should be recorded on the mailbox to remove the default messages. Steve L.
