Re: KRnet> empty hangar

2023-05-03 Thread Phillip Matheson via KRnet
Many thanks old friend. I sent him an email on the net, you will see.
Really sorry your health is not as good as a 21 year old. 😂. But sadly we are
all getting older. I hope to have a few years left yet. ( fingers crossed on my
health) I’m 65, ok at the present. I was hoping to see you. But can’t beat
fate. How far from Oshkosh are you. Never know. I am spending two night at the
Hilton at O’hare airport I think the 20 and 21 July. How far from there are you
All the best
Your mate
Phil.

I'm assuming Larry Howell will attend Oshkosh as it is an annual event
for him.  He is on the net and I'm confident he will respond.

KRnet> question for old timers

2023-05-03 Thread Flesner via KRnet

A question for those around during the early days of the KR. There were
two brothers or cousins with the last name of Campbell.  I'm not sure of
their first names.  Was one of their names Keith and were they from the
Midwest, Iowa to be more specific?

The reason I ask is that a friend of mine took their RV10 fuel tank to a
shop in Iowa for repair and one of the owners of the shop is Keith
Campbell and he indicated he built a KR1 many years ago.  I seem to
recall hearing their names back in the 90's at different Gatherings.
Inquiring minds want to know.

Keith was a close friend of Steve Bennet. The KR that Keith built was finished
as a P51 if my memory serves me correct.

Re: KRnet> question for old timers

2023-05-03 Thread Ed Janssen via KRnet
I could be wrong but it seems like I remember one was Al and the other was
Cal or Calvin. I think they were brothers (twins perhaps?). I think Keith
was a good friend of Steve Bennet. Think they use to fly their KR-1s
together. Someone set me straight if all of this is a jumble of thoughts.
