They say "plans and instructions", but nothing about the full size D and 
E size drawings (as well as one really wide one that I believe would be 
called an "F").  Without those, you're not going to finish an airplane. 
 Hang on though, "FreeBird" is coming and it won't cost a thing to 
download high quality drawings for a much better airplane that you can 
take to Kinko's for printing, as well as a PDF manual that goes into 
very specific detail, not just "build aft deck in a similar manner"..

I plan to take my project to the gathering to sell it.
It has a revmaster and is a tri gear.
As always 90% complete. Has the earlier wings and disc brakes.
Completely painted with some surprisingly expensive white with The Bonnie
Blue Flag on the belly. Comes with a new American Propeller Co. wood prop
and spinner.
Has 12 gallon tanks in each Diehl wing plus header tank. Also 0200 motor
mount and extra cowling, plans and paperwork.
Needs a carb and bigger fuel lines.

Yeah, it seems like, whatever they are, they are just on a USB stick. So, you 
would have to print them anyway. This is a seller of model airplane plans, so, 
it is really possible that they are meant for that and not a full size 
airplane. Though, they list it as "experimental."

Looking forward to Freebird plans when they are available. I have actually 
"ordered" KR2S plans from the nVAero website. The order went through, but they 
are C.O.D. (cash on delivery) and awaiting payment. That means I will pay when 
(if) I get them, but I am not out any money until they arrive. I'm not really 
expecting them to show up. I really kind of did this as an experiment because 
trying to raise anyone at nVAero for questions or orders seems impossible. 
Phone calls are met with voice mail and no return calls. The same with email 
replies; no reply. Maybe someone there will wake up to the sound of the cash 
register bell. If they arrive, then it's all good.

This is a heads-up for people attending the Gathering in time for the Thursday 
night dinner.
Chris Collins is putting on a Fish Fry and BBQ starting at 4pm. His invited 
guests are all us KR builders, pilots & owners as well as the early attendees 
for the MidWest LSA Expo. It is very nice of Chris to put this event together 
at the MVN FBO. We’ll be operating in the same space as the LSA visitors so 
having an opportunity to meet some of them before the event really gets started 
will be great! Maybe we can convert some of them into becoming KR fans as well.

If there is sufficient interest in going back to the Frosty Mug (our regular 
Thursday night venue) maybe we can make that a Friday night affair.

Paul, if you’ve made any notice to the Frosty Mug, please let them know at 
least some of us will be at the Fish Fry/ BBQ.
