[kate] [Bug 458624] [LSP] Omnisharp-roslyn Launches Out of Scope
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458624 Eric Armbruster changed: What|Removed |Added CC||eric1.armbrus...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from Eric Armbruster --- I've looked a bit into this and the rootpath of the language server is set correctly for me. It uses the rootpath from the project base directory. I've also started work on a patch that implements Christoph's suggestion. Though it should not be of any help here really, as the rootpath is already set and we generally don't want to override it. Can you provide us additional info? - Did you open the project using the Open Folder... action? - In the Kate Output View are there any warnings, erros by the OmniSharp server? For me the server seems to have trouble finding dotnet libraries. Probably, because some env var is not set correctly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 458624] [LSP] Omnisharp-roslyn Launches Out of Scope
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458624 --- Comment #11 from Eric Armbruster --- Tested now with and without my patch, and the server just works for me... even without finding dotnet libraries. Some LSP actions seem to be not supported by the server (Go To Declaration, Go To type definition, Highlight, Expand and Shrink Selection) but the rest should work fine. I would really recommend trying to fix that permissions issue. I tested with this project - https://github.com/ttu/csharp-tutorial as project opened at toplevel - https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/omnisharp-roslyn > What you're seeing is omnisharp looking in a Steam Proton prefix for no clear > reason; which has nothing to do with what the language server should even be > looking at Yeah, don't know why it is doing that, maybe it is searching for dotnet libraries. In any case, that cannot be influenced by Kate, so you would need to report that at the omnisharp repo. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 459694] Cursor on wrong screen in pipewire screen capture
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=459694 --- Comment #5 from Eric Armbruster --- Interestingly, it does seem to matter which screen I capture and on which screen firefox is. When I take a screencapture of my right screen with firefox on my right screen I cannot see the mouse at all in the capture (even when I move it to my left screen). When I then move firefox from my right screen to my left screen, I can again see the bug I originally described. Also, when I move my mouse now from the left to the right screen "the wrong mouse in the capture" gets stuck once my mouse crosses the screen border and stays visible in the capture. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In Jetbrains IDEs you can type in every tree/listview to search for matching items. You can do that aswell in Qt but there are some subtle but important differences 2. Jetbrains IDEs highlight all matches not just the one which matched best and the selection jumped to while typing 3. They stay in that search mode until you hit Esc or something and its possible to quickly switch between all matching items using respective arrow keys 4. Also you can use "space" while searching and it will match each part separately I think this would be really nice to have, even though it is targeted at advanced users. I would be interested in implementing this myself some time in the future when I find the time for it. Maybe you could help me out and tell me where an implementation for this would need to go. [Skanlite] [Bug 444605] Default focus is put on button "Close": hitting ENTER closes the program
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444605 --- Comment #19 from Eric Armbruster --- The close button has been removed to be consistent with Spectacle. I do not quite understand why you see the need for an additional close button. Even if you decide to remove the close action from the window titlebar or disable the titlebar completly and remove default close shortcut Ctrl+Q, you still have the option to close by pressing the window manager shortcut (Alt+F4). [kate] [Bug 453175] No button and option "Show whitespace"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453175 --- Comment #3 from Eric Armbruster --- I hope I got this correctly now: you would like to have a button for the existing action (show non printable spaces), instead of having to select it from the menu? If so: 1. Right-click menu bar -> select main tool bar 2. Right-click tool bar -> Configure Toolbars 3. In Toolbar select Main toolbar Katepartview 4. Choose Show non printable spaces (and maybe an icon) and save I know this does not fully solve your problem, as you are asking for separate buttons for the different whitespace characters and probably would like to have the buttons on the toolbar by default. However, I currently feel that would not be a great decision: - I think most users do not need to frequently change this setting - One action is sufficient for most users - We would need to find or create a proper icon for this action, so the toolbar does not look so weird with the long text On another note, newlines are always visualized to my understanding by, well ehm, new lines. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
