The fact that there are > dozens of people rather than a single donor is beside the point. Well, it is the point in a legal/tax/charity sense. We (the PCC) decided to make the collection so it's at our discretion what we use it for, As it's a 'designated' fund then it has to be used for the designated purpose but it doesn't have all the legal and accounting rules that a restricted one would. Of course 99 times out of a 100 the fund will be used for its designated use but, with a formal decision at a PCC meeting, its use can be changed. -- Chris Green ___ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. - Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. Re: [GNC] Importing transactions in multi-currency accounting
If you have been using GnuCash for over a year and a half, you may not have the current release. There have been some changes to the import processes in that time. Please tell us your OS and GnuCash versions to get the best advice. Re: [GNC] How do I add notes to my columns
Can we put this on a vote? I would say YES bring on. I need to see my notes on the same line as the transaction. If there are people that do not like this option maybe azalea4va could provide an option that the notes can be placed on a new line, same line or hidden all together. based on his screen shots, maybe azalea4va coded for that option already. If that's the case, I see no reason why his request cannot be accommodated. Make it my request too. Any other takers. Thank you. Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" azalea4va, Why would you want to impose an ultra-wide layout onto most users that find it very difficult to see the information even in the double line mode on their monitors? You have not even provided an illustration of what it would look like and asked for an opinion from other users. How would it look to a user that is still using an 800x600 screen? If you were to ask me about this I would suggest a three line view to see a long description, long note and long account name for every transaction, not just the one that has the focus, but make it optional, because the current layout is a compromise that works fairly well for the majority of users.
