Be that as it may, the location of config files in Evolution is standardised (following the Gnome conventions even if you don't have Gnome installed), so the documentation assumes that things are where they're supposed to be. I suggest you contact the distro maintainers to report this as a bug. poc ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

Hi, there is no such guide, because those are private data. > I'm afraid I've given up. It should not be this hard. You are right, it really should not be that hard. I recall there had been some issues with password prompts in certain cases in the past, surely fixed in the latest stable, which is 3.34.x series. > I'm using Thunderbird from now on. Pity, Evolution looks great! I agree, it's pity. Yours 3.28.5 is basically ancient, you might get more luck with the recent stable (otherwise nobody could use it, right?). You can try, as a workaround, configure the account through GNOME Online Accounts (if the version provided by your distribution supports IMAP accounts), or, if you did it before, then configure it directly in Evolution. It can change things. Bye, Milan ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

Try $ set | grep XDG to see some of the related variables in the system (not all of those mentioned in [1] are required, they have their defaults).
