Which steps did you perform to "create one"?

It's mentioned in one sentence on the "Mail folder locations" page
(which is linked from each account management page). :)

Have you set the Archive folder in the account configuration - you just
said you created one. You set it in

 Edit -> Preferences -> Mail Accounts -> (select account) -> Edit ->
Defaults

Re: [Evolution] Archive function

2019-03-03 Thread Bradley G Ward via evolution-list
Thanks for the replies,
What I did was just create an "archive" folder and then (after someone
else replied) I then went into each individual account
Edit>preferences>individual account>defaults where I set "Archive
Folder" to "On this computer/Archive" where "Archive" is the folder I
created on "On this computer". This machine has three accounts so I
set it the same for all accounts. I thought that I had it except I
don't. If I select a message the option to archive the select message
(on the top bar) is still greyed out.

I've had a good look over this but can't see what I'm missing. Any
further insights welcomed.

Thanks

Re: [Evolution] Archive function

2019-03-03 Thread Bradley G Ward via evolution-list
Hi again everybody,
I finally worked this out. I have to enable the 'general' archive
function from edit>preferences and then 'mail preferences' at the
bottom. It works following this.

Sorry if this is what you were telling me but I misse it.

Got it now.

Thanks again for your help :)
