[Evolution] Problem with IIS
Hi All, I have a big problem. When I moving some message from one (Exchange) folder to over one (for ex. when I'm deleting the message Evolution moving it from Inbox folder to the Deleted Items), the ISS is stoping with error: "Faulting application w3wp.exe, version bla-bla-bla, faulting module fcachdll.dll, bersion bla-bla-bla, fault address bla-bla-bla". Do you know, how to resolve this problem? Best regards, Admont ___ Evolution-list mailing list Evolution-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
Re: [Evolution] IMAP hang in version 2.8
Hi -- Wonder if you'd post to the list *how* you overrode the "default namespace". Is this something you changed within the Evolution Preferences? Or...did you have to recompile something? Or is this a setting on the IMAP server that you were able to change?? I thought the info might help others in the same boat... --Leigh -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of Mac Mason Sent: Sun 1/28/2007 5:54 PM To: evolution-list@gnome.org Subject: Re: [Evolution] IMAP hang in version 2.8 On Sun, Jan 28, 2007 at 05:36:47PM -0500, Mac Mason wrote: > I've just installed Ubuntu 6.10, and the copy of Evolution it installs > (2.8) hangs as soon as I try to connect to my IMAP server (with SSL). > Various other mail clients (Thunderbird, Evolution 2.0 on a different > machine) connect happily. Help? Solution: For reasons that remain unknown to me, the IMAP server defaults to a namespace of "~", so Evolution was trying to list my entire (large, complicated homedir) instead of my mail folder; overriding the default namespace solved the problem. --Mac -- Julian "Mac" Mason [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ Evolution-list mailing list Evolution-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
Re: [Evolution] Lost connection to Evolution Exchange backend process
I did file a bug on this error, although I'm not positive it's actually a bug. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395989 Someone took an initial look, but no further progress has been made. I'm waiting for this "new" version of Evolution expected today. Maybe it will make some difference for me. For now, I'm stuck using OWA over my web browser :( . Maybe if you "me too" onto the bug and upload your own debug trace it will give someone who knows what they're doing a better way to see what might be causing the error. BTW, I just got your email in my in-box today. I don't know if that's related to nabble.com's forwarding procedures...OR...(most likely) the fact that Websense blocked nabble for a few days. (I complained to my workplace and they had Websense re-evaluate nabble; they reported Friday it was going to be unblocked, but as of today it has not been unblocked. I'm complaining again. Re: [Evolution] Connecting to AT&T email
Hi Dick, What version of Evolution are you using? On version 2.6 and 2.8 of Evolution I can just go into Edit/Preferences/MailAccounts and edit the offending account. About AT&T, I cannot comment on the specifics. Most likely on their website they will have info. Perhaps the outgoing mail server is ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net and the incoming mail server is imailhost.worldnet.att.net? Does this help? Not sure what kind of step-by-step procedure you're looking for... --Leigh -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sun 1/28/2007 1:06 PM To: evolution-list@gnome.org Subject: [Evolution] Connecting to AT&T email In setting up Evolution, I incorrectly entered data to connect to my AT&T email. Re: [Evolution] Sometimes evolution refuses to start...why?
Sometimes I see this happen when I'm working over slower connections, such as VPN to the office from home. And "slow" is relative. My VPN connection gets me somewhere around 1-2 MB of bandwidth, on a 3 MB pipe. It looks like Evo is not starting, but it eventually (after a minute or two) comes up. I'm also assuming you're using Exchange (as I am). Can you ps for the process? I will see the process chugging, but no window for a minute or so. Once mine comes up, all seems pretty normal. Does anyone have a proper explanation? I assume this was the "Override server-supplied folder namespace" option in the account preferences. I often have to set the namespace to "mail" or some such when talking to a UW IMAP server. [Evolution] Gnome Keyring only storing 2 passwords
Before submitting this as a bug, I thought I would check here first. After a quick search of the archives, I have found some various threads already involving gnome keyring[1][2][3][4], however all of those issues relate to Evolution not being able to access the keyring at all, the keyring daemon not being started, etc., which is not my problem. My Evolution can access the gnome keyring just fine, however it can only seem to ever store a maximum of two passwords in it at any given time. My current setup involves two mail accounts, each with a POP3 password and an SMTP password, thus a total of 4 passwords. If I check mail on both accounts, Evolution prompts for and stores in the keyring the two POP3 passwords required. It continues to retrieve mail fine with the stored passwords until I send mail from either account. When I send mail, Evolution prompts for the SMTP password, stores it, and drops one of the POP3 passwords. I can continue to send mail from the account previously used and it works fine using the stored password, however if I want to send from the other account or check mail for the account who's POP3 password it dropped, it prompts for those passwords and drops others. Essentially, it's only storing the last two passwords that I've actually used. Has anyone else run into this problem? I originally thought this may be a problem with gnome keyring and have nothing to do with Evolution, but searches along those lines have turned up nothing. Are you using pam_keying? I posted a short procedure on 12 Jan to this list, if that helps.
