I did file a bug on this error, although I'm not positive it's actually a bug.

Someone took an initial look, but no further progress has been made. I'm 
waiting for this "new" version of Evolution expected today. Maybe it will make 
some difference for me. For now, I'm stuck using OWA over my web browser :( . 
Maybe if you "me too" onto the bug and upload your own debug trace it will give 
someone who knows what they're doing a better way to see what might be causing 
the error.

BTW, I just got your email in my in-box today. I don't know if that's related 
to nabble.com's forwarding procedures...OR...(most likely) the fact that 
Websense blocked nabble for a few days. (I complained to my workplace and they 
had Websense re-evaluate nabble; they reported Friday it was going to be 
unblocked, but as of today it has not been unblocked. I'm complaining again. 
Academic freedom and all that....)

Constantly getting "Lost Connection to Evolution Exchange backend process",
I can view some old messages, and the folders and lists in them are visible,
but that's it.
Restarting Evolution has no effect. The exchange server is up and running,
web client works (as well as expected...)
