That's a nice idea, but it won't cover all eventualities, e.g. sometimes one would need: * Long task SCHEDULED: <2008-01-07 Mon 10:00-13:00> SCHEDULED: <2008-01-08 Tue 14:00-17:00> ___ Emacs-orgmode mailing list Remember: use `Reply All' to send replies to the list. The reason was the set of the other emacs-related ports like the ``remember.el-emacs21-1.9_2'' port. I've just installed Emacs 22. There was no warning coming from the other ports! Sorting (as everything else) is now working fine :-) Thank you very much for your help, Dominik. Thanks to Pete for his last message. No, I don't worry! Re: [Orgmode] Suggestion for org-sort
On Dec 8, 2007, at 10:11 PM, Chris Leyon wrote: I ran into this behavior while sorting table lines but it may happen elsewhere too. In a nutshell, I'd like to alphabetical-sort (C-c ^ a) | alpha | | [[file:beta][beta]] | | gamma | into the order shown, but currently the "beta" line sorts less than "alpha". I can't claim it's a bug--the behavior is understandable--but perhaps the sort function can be enhanced to only look at the link description, if present. Any ideas why this would happen? [snipped] Argh, it just happened again with 5.17a! And it was definitely only (and all) the prefix key documentation entries which vanished, such as ("#" . "TODOs by priority") Additionally I have been most careful to regularly save customizations since the discussion above, so I'm now sure that there is a bug somewhere after all; I just don't know how to trigger it. Is the defcustom definition for prefix key documentation definitely correct? I just cracked it :-) I noticed that the prefix key documentation cons cells only vanished when the *Customize Option: Org Agenda Custom Commands* buffer was generated via M-x org-agenda C and never via M-x customize-option. So that led me to the culprit: Fixed, thanks for the analysis! - Carsten ___ Emacs-orgmode mailing list Remember: use `Reply All' to send replies to the list. [Orgmode] org2hpda now on emacswiki
A while ago I posted a Makefile to generate pocketmod and hpda (hipster PDA) printouts from your calendar and diary. I put the code up on the emacs wiki. It can be found under http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki/CalendarPrinting. While I was at it I renamed it to org2hpda because pocketmod might have trade mark problems and has a patent pending. I do not quite understand what you are trying to do, but if is simply "to go from A4 to A7" then something like psnup or pdfnup should be what you are looking for. No need to be a latex expert. The usage of psnup or pdfnup is actually quite simple. Consult the man page for details. HTH Christian ___ Emacs-orgmode mailing list Remember: use `Reply All' to send replies to the list. [Orgmode] Remember with org-mode
I am trying to set up remember with org-mode using instructions provided in the manual. But the (org-remember-insinuate) line results in the following error. An error has occurred while loading `/home/vikas/.emacs': Symbol's function definition is void: org-remember-insinuate To ensure normal operation, you should investigate the cause of the error in your initialization file and remove it. Start Emacs with the `--debug-init' option to view a complete error backtrace Could someone kindly explain what is wrong. FYI, I am using emacs on Ubuntu 7.10. Start Emacs with the `--debug-init' option to view a complete error backtrace Could someone kindly explain what is wrong. I can think of two possible causes: 1. You are using the version of Org-mode that is shipped with Emacs 22, (4.67c or something like that) but you are reading the manual of version 5.17 online. `org-remember-insinuate' did not exist in 4.67. 2. You have not installed Org-mode correctly, for example you downloaded 5.17 from the web but you do not have (require 'org-install) in .emacs - Carsten FYI, I am using emacs on Ubuntu 7.10.
