Re: Question about OFDM channel estimation block

2023-05-09 Thread Marcus Müller

Hi Philip,

have you checked the OFDM example flow graphs that come with GNU Radio? They're usually
installed in a place like /usr/share/gnuradio/examples/digital/ofdm.

Best regards,
Marcus

Hi everyone!

I am trying to learn something about the OFDM system and I found that in the code of OFDM
channel estimation block, it uses the synch. word and without pilot symbols. I think it
should also have some function related to the pilot but there is not. Could someone help
me about this?  This means that if you want to implement channel estimation using pilot
with GNU radio you need to use a custom module, is this correct? Any help would be greatly
appreciated, thanks!

Re: Combining Packet Header and Vector Source for BPSK tx

Hi Michelle,

you should probably *not* be using GNU Radio 3.8 at this point! Please use a more modern
version.

Hi, I have an example of BPSK tx/rx in GNU Radio generated from a vector source and was
trying to send a packet that has a sync word, header, and body/data being sent.  I see the
example at this tutorial Packet Communications - GNU Radio
 and the example file
"Pkt_xmt_gr38.grc"  I guess I'm not understanding how I would add the vector source data
to the embedded python block "Packet Format GR38"?  If you have any suggestions on where I
can start to understand this that would be appreciated. Thanks for your help!
