https://github.com/buildbot/buildbot/blob/master/master/contrib/systemd/buildbot.service

This commit landed in January, 2014, and sits alongside an example
sysvinit script. Fedora's packages include neither, not even as
exmples -- there's no provided init integration at all.

Incidently, I wouldn't consider buildbot an example of a "decades-old"
daemon for which systemd adds nothing; indeed it's one of the most
finiky and brittle tools I've ever used, and systemd's isolation,
logging, and cleanup features are greatly beneficial when trying to
figure out why buildbot has crapped out yet again.

I'm pretty sure a symlink mkfs.hfsplus -> newfs_hfs and fsck.hfsplus
-> fsck_hfs would satisfy all requirements. This is what ntfsprogs
does.

UEFI tests are still failing due to the same efibootmgr / efivar issue:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1352680 . pjones says he's
aiming to fix it today or tomorrow.

Most non-UEFI tests are failing (since 2016-07-29) because of a bug
preventing a login prompt appearing on vt1 on fresh installs. I've
figured out the cause (I think) and reverted the systemd package change
which caused it, so hopefully this will go away tomorrow:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1363858

Workstation live is failing to compose because libreoffice is not
installable:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1360782
dtardon is rebuilding libreoffice now, which should hopefully resolve
that.

kernel 4.7 on stable ?

2016-08-03 Thread Sérgio Basto
Hi,
From list of koji builds [1] rawhide and F25 uses pre 4.8. My question
is kernel-4.7.0-2 doesn't land on F24 and F23 ? , since kernel 4.6
already have a short live and 4.7 fix my cpu-freq kernel ooops , I vote
in have kernel-4.7 in stable releases :).

[1] http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=8

Thanks,

It will probably be there eventually. Usually the .1 or .2 releases make
it to released versions of Fedora.

You might want to read this blog entry from a member of the Fedora kernel team:

Re: Intel Embree files needed to build LuxRender

2016-08-03 Thread Luya Tshimbalanga
I found out embree needed by the latest version of LuxRender is not available
on the repository meaning getting it available.
I am not familiar with the cmake scheme so I will need some assistance
building the spec file.

Here is included the spec file:
https://luya.fedorapeople.org/packages/SPECS/embree.spec

The source file is located on
https://embree.github.io/downloads.html

If there is someone from Intel providing the spec file (rpm version is
available but building on CentOS), that will be great.

Thanks in advance,

Luya
