Bug#237877: Patches for X.Org: dpi settings changes
Any chance that the changes I suggested below (in previous posts to this bug number) will be reviewed in time to make the 6.9.0 release upload? The problems I describe are still relevant. Let me know if I can supply any further information, or answer any questions. Bug#337874: Setting "xserver-xorg/config/monitor/selection-method: Advanced" is forgotten
Package: xserver-xorg Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-10 Severity: normal Hi, It seems that this configuration setting is forgotten when reconfiguring the xserver-xorg package: xserver-xorg/config/monitor/selection-method: Advanced Example: # dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg (Select the right settings, including the "Advanced" method.) # debconf-show xserver-xorg > a # dpkg-reconfigure -u xserver-xorg # debconf-show xserver-xorg > b # diff a b 26c26 < * xserver-xorg/config/monitor/horiz-sync: 30-92 --- > * xserver-xorg/config/monitor/horiz-sync: 30-65 33c33 < * xserver-xorg/config/monitor/selection-method: Advanced --- > * xserver-xorg/config/monitor/selection-method: Medium Naturally this also affects the generated /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. The monitor settings in the generated file are incorrect. Also, if I run "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" to fix this problem, I need to manually choose the correct monitor settings as they are forgotten. Re: Bug#337565: [INTL:pt_PT] Portuguese translation for xfree86 (debconf)

We already have templates for the only version that we modify, that is, xorg-x11. xfree86 templates are, like whole sarge, frozen. It is 'stable' distribution, after all. The 'unstable' ones were written/updated by Eduardo Silva <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. If you have suggestions, you can find the latest version in http://necrotic.deadbeast.net/svn/xorg-x11/trunk/debian/po/pt.po. Julien Cristau has closed this bug report, so please report directly to debian-x in case of problems. If you have any modification to the templates, please send a patch or the whole .po file to the BTS. Best regards, Ender. -- Interesante no, Carmiña. Bug#336997: xlibmesa-dri: having issues with driver not claiming to support visuals
El Miércoles, 2 de Noviembre de 2005 05:58, dfox escribió: > Package: xlibmesa-dri > Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7bpo1 > Severity: important Excuse me, which version are you running? You would have to use 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7 or 6.8.2.dfsg.1-10, either you were running testing or unstable. I think that this deserves closing this bug...given that you did not use the official versions. Please install them and re-report. I will close this bug report in a couple of days if it does not have any activity. Best regards, Ender. -- Why is a cow? Mu. No, this is the backport to sarge version, so it matches the -7 version pretty closely. I think we should keep these bugs open, since the backports are very popular, if not entirely official. - David Nusinow
