It was meant to imply that not all information is mandatory. Help from a
native speaker is welcome to improve this.

Kind regards,

Who's using Debian?

2013-02-28 Thread Carlos Ribas
Hello,

This is the descriptions of our organization:

1- Academic Network at São Paulo, Brazil.
2- Non-profit
3- http://www.ansp.br
4- Debian is our primary *nix platform. It is used on about 10 physical
servers and 20 virtual servers running aplications such as Bind, Apache,
Django framework and more. We chose Debian for several reasons, among them:
stability, security, easy upgrades, and Debian community.

webwml build error on event pages

2013-02-28 Thread victory
On the event page, a line ending causes build error:
  No coordinator string specified.
This limitation should be documented somewhere, so here it is.
Better suggestions welcome.

This is for people editing or translating web pages, so it is
probably very low priority.

Bug#701938: [www.debian.org] Debian Trademarks: Branden Robinson presented as DPL

2013-02-28 Thread Filipus Klutiero

Package: www.debian.org
Severity: minor

http://www.debian.org/trademark.en.html contains:

The Debian UK Society, by Branden Robinson
, Debian
Project Leader.

Branden Robinson was DPL from April 2005 to April 2006, but no longer
is: http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/project-history/ch-leaders

By the way, the first sentence reads:
Debian is committed to protect and ensure consistent usage of its
trademark, logos, and styles and also make it easier for every
/bonafide/ user to use.

Debian has several trademarks. The work "trademark" should read
"trademarks" or something else (perhaps "name").

So that was really his status when he wrote the aforementioned message,
allowing him to make such statement.

Please, do stop abusing the BTS for non-issues.
