Wrong indexes to debian-security-announce-99 mailing list messages in DWN

2004-03-11 Thread Jens Seidel
Hi all,

I noticed that all URLs to the debian-security-announce-99 mailing list
are wrong in News/weekly/1999/32/index and others. The following patch fixes
this:

A fix was released for a serious root exploit in
-http://lists.debian.org/debian-security-announce-99/msg0.html";>
+http://lists.debian.org/debian-security-announce-99/msg00019.html";>
 cfingerd, plus fixes for

It's necessary to add 19 to the mail indexes.
Of course it's not difficult to change these URLs and I attached a patch
which fixes this in all translations of News/weekly/1999/32/index
(together with outdated links to package descriptions) but that's not
elegant!

Does anyone know where the 19 additional messages come from? Is it possible to
change the mailing list archive or is this just an error in several DWN?

Jens

Since I cannot verify all this, please fix the wrong and broken URLs.
It's very good that you check them and spend time on it to improve our
website.

Maybe it was an archive reorganisation? Looks like spam and other crap
is now visible in the web archive.

Yeah, it's kind of a bug and I also know his cause. The scripts currently
use always the information applying to the greatest number of
architectures. As on more architectures kmail has the noted source
rather then the changed on, they actually do what I told them to do.
In retrospect, it would propably be better to use the newest information
here.
