I just looked at the page. I certainly wouldn't say the French is
"disastrous", but it reads too much like a literal translation from the
English version. I agree that it should be reworked.

Maybe someone should notify the French translation team on Debian-french?
Or are they reading this?

At least the coordinator of every translation should be subscribed here.

My mirror has the exact same problem :)

Though I have www and ftp on seperate disks, but both are only 100 meg or so
from filling, going to buy a 10 gig ide drive in a few days to keep the ftp
archive happy for bit. Maybe raid the new disk with the old to get to 18 gig
and hopefully keep things are bay for a while.

I'll be seriously worried about the amount of disk space a full mirror will
take when sparc and alpha get into the stable distribution.

Going a bit offtopic here.

Is nonus.debian.org administrated by the same guy?

I was wondering if we could get rsync installed on it so mirrors can switch
to using rsync with it rather than using mirror.

What about push mirroring too? :)

With the huge amount of space the archive is starting to take up it is probably
unreasonable to require official mirrors to carry the whole thing. If mirrrors
run into space problems they should be able to remove the less used parts
of the archive.

BTW Jason, /debian/home/treacy/web/lists contains the raw list mail. It could
be moved to another disk (it's 545MB). The people in charge of the list archives
should be contacted before moving it though.

I had a person write to me to complain about that company. They had
ordered some stuff, paid for it, and hadn't recieved it. The company
wouldn't respond to them.

I just thought I'd mention it ... it doesn't seem like they are
listed on our web pages yet.

Oops. Sorry about that. Fixed it.

(BTW, feel free to correct any mistakes like that without asking)

That was intentional - note that I mention that the URL refers to the
private Corel site. Most of the ARM porters have got accounts on
NetWinder.org (they are free). Unfortunately, Corel insists on hiding
some of the good information from public view.

Cheers,

I think they were emailled asking for more details (like what CDs they sell
etc) but I got no reply. No reply means no web page.

That doesn;t mean they're a bad company or anything, it just makes it too
hard to work out what to put there.

It seems someone beat me to it and has put a new entry on that page.
jt, like the new format, looks like we will need a book entry as well.
