I just looked at the page. I certainly wouldn't say the French is "disastrous", but it reads too much like a literal translation from the English version. I agree that it should be reworked. Maybe someone should notify the French translation team on Debian-french? Or are they reading this? Christian, whose translation skills are non-existant.
