  Description : Qt6 Quick 3D Physics module

Qt is a cross-platform C++ application framework. Qt's primary feature
is its rich set of widgets that provide standard GUI functionality.

Qt Quick 3D Physics provides a high-level API for physics simulation.
It supports simulating interactive rigid bodies as well as static meshes
and non-colliding bodies used for detecting overlaps. Every simulated
body can have its own physical properties like mass, density and friction.

* URL : https://github.com/noporpoise/BitArray

  Programming Lang: C
  Description : library for bit arrays
 Bit arrays are arrays of bits (values zero or one). This is a convenient
 and efficient implementation for C/C++. Arrays can be enlarged or shrunk
 as needed.
 .
 Bit arrays are initialised to zero when created or extended. All
 operations have their bounds checked - an "Out of bounds" error is
 printed if you try to access a bit with index >= length. Arrays of
 length 0 are permitted. Indices must be >= 0.

Bug#1021934: ITP: biojava6-live -- Java API to biological data and applications (version 6)

2022-10-17 Thread Pierre Gruet
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Debian-med team
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, debian-...@lists.debian.org

* Package name: biojava6-live
  Version : 6.0.5
  Upstream Author : BioJava Developers
* URL : https://biojava.org
* License : LGPL-2.1
  Programming Lang: Java
  Description : Java API to biological data and applications (version 6)

This package presents the Open Source Java API to biological databases
and a series of mostly sequence-based algorithms.

BioJava is an open-source project dedicated to providing a Java framework
for processing biological data. It includes objects for manipulating
sequences, file parsers, server support, access to BioSQL
and Ensembl databases, and powerful analysis and statistical routines
including a dynamic programming toolkit.

Important changes in the API at each major version have made it necesssary to
have a new source package for every major version of the library. In the
Debian-med team, we have already started seeing packages depending on biojava 6
and it would be a very valuable addition to have it into Debian.

The package will be team-maintained by the Debian-med team.

This is not as useful as I thought it was: it only diffs the VBA part. I
want to diff the entire file. And for that, something like this is
better:

Hi Bastian!

>There is already python-pytest-flake8 in the file which also uses pytest with

Is pytest-flakes really necessary?

I was working on a package here, which had this dependency.

I was not aware of this detail that pytest with pyflakes incorporated this lib.

Since you warned me, of this detail,

Could you clear this doubt, if these two packages are also incorporated in some
other package?

https://salsa.debian.org/nilsonfsilva/flake8-2020

https://salsa.debian.org/nilsonfsilva/flake8-noqa/

These are dependencies of a package I'm working on, but so far I haven't been
able to find a sponsor.

Thanks for the tips and attention. I am very grateful to you.

outdated, 16 ahead); builds in ~45 minutes, but panicks at runtime.

Main tasks now are to keep package up-to-date with upstream releases, fix the
runtime panick (probably a local patch gone wrong), and package more of the
crates currently embedded.

Here's how you can help:

As user running Debian, you can test this draft package: Either build it
yourself from source or tell (by posting to this bugreport) if you prefer
testing the binary packages I built - then I will share those.

As developer (but no need to be official member of Debian!), you can join the
Debian Rust team and help package these missing crates:

Bug#1021964: ITP: python-noseofyeti -- Module to create Python codec for tests using RSpec inspired DSL

2022-10-17 Thread Scott Kitterman
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Scott Kitterman
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, debian-pyt...@lists.debian.org

* Package name: python-noseofyeti
  Version : 2.3.1
  Upstream Author : Stephen Moore
* URL : https://github.com/delfick/nose-of-yeti
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Module to create Python codec for tests using RSpec
inspired DSL

 This is a project creates a custom Python codec that lets you write your
 tests using an RSpec inspired DSL (i.e. describe and it blocks).
 .
 It uses the fact that you can register a codec that is able to modify a
 Python file before executing it. Using this when Python imports a file with
 a particular encoding as the first line of the file it will be intercepted
 and potentially rewritten into something else before the import continues.
 .
 nose-of-yeti uses this technique to translate from the DSL it defines, into
 Python classes and functions that then will be executed by your test
 framework of choice.

I plan to maintain this package as part of the Debian Python team.

It is needed to run the tests for python-dict2xml, which are now
provided in the upstream tarball.

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
Control: affects -1 src:trayer

I intend to orphan the trayer package.

The package decription is:
 trayer is a small program designed to provide systray functionality
 present in GNOME/KDE desktop environments for window managers which
 do not support that function. System tray is a place, where various
 applications put their icons, so they are always visible presenting
 status of applications and allowing user to control programs.

It works and the packaging is in a good shape but it's stalled upstream
and depends obsoleted GTK+2. I'm also not planning to use it anymore.
