Debian Menus no longer come up
I do not know what has happened but I no longer have my debian menus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the menu package to no avail. The last thing that I have done is install the Bastille Hardening Script. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Cyrus - Spamassassin - Postfix integration
I dont know who to ask about this but I am trying to find the best way to integrate Cyrus, Spamassassin, and Postfix so that I can get mail delivered and scanned for spam with user preferences enabled.I used to use procmail as the connection between spamassassin and Cyrus but I found that using cyrdeliver with the procmail script was VERY slow. I then began to use Amavis but found that it uses Mail::Spamassassin python module and I cant use user prefs (ie. spamassassin attribute in ldap).I then reprogrammed it so that Amavis only does virus detection and postfix does spam detection through the spamfilter script listed at http://onetforum.com/fourm/viewtopic.php?p=27 which is referenced from Spamassassin's website. With this config, user prefs would not be used until I set the spamfilter script to pick up the $user variable and connect to spamc with the -u option, but when mail is sent to multiple users it errors out. So now I am back to square 2 or so, I have Amavis checking for Viruses and I dont know what is going on with spam filtering. On a side note, I have sa-learn checking imap folders for spam it did not detect and mail it detected as spam and with these new ways of using Spamassassin I dont know if the database sa-learn creates is even being used. So with all of this testing being done, what have you found to be the best way to get these products working together nicely? TIACaleb

Moving Cyrus email from one folder to another
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello all, I am wondering if anyone out there has created a script that runs from cron that will move email from one folder to another. What I would like to do is this: I have publicly accessible folders that all imap users use called isSpam and notSpam which I use with the sa-learn program to learn about spam and ham emails. What I want my script to do now is once it reads the messages to move them to a folder underneath or elsewhere called processed or something like that. OT: Shared calendar server on Debian
Hello all, I am wondering if there are any suggestions for a shared calendar system on Debian. My setup is as follows. I have a Cyrus, Spamassassin, Procmail, Postfix and OpenLDAP running on a server that I have in this office for mail flow and single sign on to different web applications and email. I also want to implement a shared calendar where I can have shared personal calendars as well as shared public calendars depending on login or group. Has anyone done this and if so how or what products? I breifly searched the debian archives and google and came up with Kolab so far which seems to be more Redhat freindly then I like. IMAP and Sieve
I am not finding much info out there on Sieve but I am wondering if anyone knows where my breakdown is occurring. I am using Cyrus imap with spamassassin, procmail, squirrelmail, and postfix. I use cyrdeliver to deliver mail out of procmail. I am wondering if using cyrdeliver prevents Sieve from working. I have this script: header :contains "List-Id" "debian-user.lists.debian.org" { fileinto "INBOX.Storage.Debian-User"; stop; } which does not work. Otherwise it looks correct, but I am no >expert. > >And you may need to have the following line at the start of your file. >At least it doesn't hurt to have it: > >require "fileinto"; > > > As far as what I have seen thus far is that using cyrdeliver out of procmail does not matter and sieve should still work. Is that right? If that is so, what is the "-l" for when using cyrdeliver? If I use that my mail stops getting delivered. I see in my procmail log that cyrdeliver -l -a -m user. is being executed but mail is not put in the proper mailbox and seems to just disappear. What am I missing here? Cyrus, Procmail, postfix, spamassassin SIEVE problems
Hello all, I have sent this email to the cyrus group but I got no answer. I have been looking all over the net, on google and mailing lists archives for the answer to my problem. In a nutshell, Sieve does not work because, as I can see, cyrdeliver (deliver) bypasses sieve filters. I have seen posts where people say that deliver uses the lmtp programs and therefore passes mail through sieve and I have seen others state that, when using procmail as I am, it bypasses sieve. I also saw another article on the internet where a person had a procmail recipe that used unix:/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp as a delivery destination but that does not work and I cannot find anything in procmail that remotely says that this might work. In the end, how do I get into a situation where I can use Cyrus/Sieve and spamassassin together? Any thoughts? Your help would be much appreciated. The other thing about that is I dont want to use dot files in users home directories because in my environment users cannot log into the server nor do they have home directories. Spamassassin prefs are in LDAP. Thanks, Caleb Walker -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I restarted all the daemons, checked my configs, everything I could think of at the time. I rebooted the server and everything went back to normal. The next time I get this problem I will figure it out though. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
