I think it was already mentioned that apt-cache and apt-install can be
used to install packages instead of using deb files.

It probably installed but using bittorrent without the GUI requires that
you call the programs specifically (i.e. btdownloadheadless file.torrent
or btdownloadcurses file.torrent)
