Package: libnss-ldap
Version: 251-7.5
Severity: important

libnss-ldap doesn't seem to get all groups from ldap.
E. g. when I do as user:

$ id -G
513 1027 1029 1073 1112 14091 19901 22150 43236 55873 60223

But when I do as root:

# id -G user
513 22150 43236 19901 1027 1029 1073 1112

As you can see some groups are missing in the second request.

This happens after the upgrade from Sarge to Etch. It has wider effects in the
sense that e. g. Group-ACLs
in Samba are no longer working in some cases. It also seems that only newer
groups which were added after
the upgrade to Etch are affected.

Here are some relevant parts of config files:

/etc/nsswitch.conf:
passwd: compat ldap
group: compat ldap
shadow: compat ldap

base dc=test,dc=de
ldap_version 3

/etc/ldap/slapd.conf from the ldap server:

There is a difference between "id -G" and "id -G user". The former
returns the effective groups, the latter the assigned groups. If you
login on the console (or desktop manager) you are usually assigned extra
groups.

If you can still reproduce this problem and can provide some extra
information, feel free to re-open this bug.

Package: cron
Version: 3.0pl1-74
Severity: normal

I know this will be a frustratingly useless bug report, but it's happened twice
now for me, so I feel someone should be aware. cron just dies. I notice that
I've stopped receiving logcheck messages and go investigate the process table.
No messages in the log and no particular evidence of a segfault, but unsure.
System is using LDAP for NSS and PAM authorization and MIT Krb5 for
authentication, for what it's worth. No other services seem to particularly
have this issue.

Package: libnss-ldap

Severity: serious

Hi,

libnss-ldap has been converted to Multi-Arch: same, but manages the
configuration file /etc/libnss-ldap.conf that is now shared between all
installed architectures of the libnss-ldap package.

The problem arises during purge: the configuration file is deleted even
if there are still other architectures installed (or in
config-files-remaining state) that share the ownership on that file.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom), observed during the
following sequence:

  apt-get install libnss-ldap:amd64
  apt-get install libnss-ldap:i386
  dpkg --purge libnss-ldap:i386

Bug#731617: Please switch from avahi to avahi-daemon in initscript LSB dependencies

2013-12-07 Thread Laurent Bigonville
Hi,

As previously explained in this bug, systemd is generating a dependency
against an non-existing service (avahi.service) due to a difference in
the name of the "Provides" in avahi-daemon initscript and the name of
the script itself.

In order to fix this, the dependencies ({Required,Should}-{Start,Stop})
declared in the initscript shipped in your package should be switched
from "avahi" to "avahi-daemon".

Please note that the avahi-daemon initscript contains this "Provides"
since version 0.6.31-3 and a proper Depends (or Breaks) should also be
added to your package.

Cheers

Laurent Bigonville

libvigraimpex_1.10.0+dfsg-1_i386.changes is NEW

2013-12-07 Thread Debian FTP Masters
binary:libvigraimpex5 is NEW.

Your package contains new components which requires manual editing of
the override file. It is ok otherwise, so please be patient. New
packages are usually added to the override file about once a week.
