Hi, As previously explained in this bug, systemd is generating a dependency against an non-existing service (avahi.service) due to a difference in the name of the "Provides" in avahi-daemon initscript and the name of the script itself.
In order to fix this, the dependencies ({Required,Should}-{Start,Stop}) declared in the initscript shipped in your package should be switched from "avahi" to "avahi-daemon". Please note that the avahi-daemon initscript contains this "Provides" since version 0.6.31-3 and a proper Depends (or Breaks) should also be added to your package.
