Bug#586433: offlineimap: does not restore terminal after upgrade to python 2.6

2010-06-19 Thread Julien Cristau
Package: offlineimap
Version: 6.2.0.1
Severity: important

After upgrading python from 2.5 to 2.6, the terminal is not restored
when offlineimap quits (using default curses ui).

stty sane fixes it, so does downgrading back to python 2.5.

Cheers,
Julien

Bug#586441: b43-fwcutter does not extract firmware automatically after installation

2010-06-19 Thread Jeroen Diederen

Package: b43-fwcutter

Version: 1:013-2

Installed b43-fwcutter in Squeeze/PPC and it did not extract the required

firmware into /lib/firmware. I did it manually after downloading the

broadcom-wl-4.178.10.4.tar.bz2 tarball.

export FIRMWARE_INSTALL_DIR="/lib/firmware"

wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/sources/broadcom-wl-4.178.10.4.tar.bz2

tar xjf broadcom-wl-4.178.10.4.tar.bz2

cd broadcom-wl-4.178.10.4/linux

sudo b43-fwcutter -w "$FIRMWARE_INSTALL_DIR" wl_apsta.o

Then a reboot and my Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306

802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 03) worked as it should be. The

b43-fwcutter program should do this automatically after installation. In

Debian Lenny/PPC it works fine.

gpilotd did not communicate with HAL since ~30/03 in lenny, so synchronisation
never begins, altough it could be forced via pilot-link CLI.
I found HAL key "info.bus" is no more used, and this information is now in
"info.subsystem" key.

With the attached patch, I'm able to sync my Zire 72 using gpilotd.

Hi,

there are multiple new versions available (2.0.16 and 2.0.17) which have
not been packaged. Future evolution version need a recent enough
gnome-pilot (2.0.16) at least. Do you intend to package them at one
point or should I just drop gnome-pilot support from evolution?

Cheers,

I occasionally get segmentation faults when playing Sopwith. It always
happens when the plane is near the rightmost edge of the playing area,
but I cannot describe the situation in a more specific way. I tried
running Sopwith in a debugger, and noticed that (at least once) the
crash occurred in the colltest() function (line 132 of swcollsn.c). I
turned on the COLL_DEBUG preprocessor variable and recompiled; here is
the result and some debug info from the latest crash:

collision test: (16, 16) at (244, 33)/(0, 0)
info: (40, 138)/(67634764, 33554432) (284, 105)/(16, 16)

Package: sopwith
Version: 1.7.1

The sopwith source code doesn't compile properly on Ubuntu with gcc
4.4.1. Specifically, there is a header call to string.h missing from the
vga code and a variable which is declared static in one source file and
extern in a header file. The attached patch fixes these bugs to allow
sopwith to compile on downstream Ubuntu.
