Bug#323411: doxymacs indirectly depends on emacs21

2005-08-16 Thread Stephan Springer
Package: doxymacs
Version: 1.6.0-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch

Doxymacs depends on w3-url-e21, which depends on emacs21. This
forces the installation of GNU Emacs, even if I don't want to, because
I'm using XEmacs. Sorry, I'm not going to install emacs21 for such a
small tool, and this makes the current version of doxymacs unusable
for me.

Suggested patch: depend on "w3-el-e21 | xemacs21-basesupport"
instead (like in version 1.5.0-3). Or, if doxymacs doesn't work
together with XEmacs, please change the description accordingly and
remove xemacs* and emacen from the dependencies.

Thanks,

- Stephan.

Hi, I was looking for "qpage" package for debian Sarge, and i found it

We (at work) need this pakage and I plan to make it for Debian Sarge

Would you be interested in this contribution ?

Quoting http://ftp-master.debian.org/removals.txt:

Sarge has been released, no package will be added to it anymore.

If you really want to maintain it, read the new maintainers guide and
create an up-to-date version of the package.

It has been superseded by the free alternative hylafax (qpage was in
non-free), and therefore it was removed in september 2003. See #202538
for more information.

Also, considering the current release is 3.3, and was released may
12th, 1999 (last code change being july 1998 according to changelog),
it's apparantly isn't maintained upstream anymore.

Therefore, I think it'd be a bad idea to reintroduce this package in
Debian.

This package depends on libaspell15, which is unavailable in unstable. Instead,
libaspell15c2 is in unstable. Any chance on a new version of aspell-nl that
depends on libaspell15c2 instead of libaspell15?

I know there are issues with the transition to gcc 4 and this is probably
related to that, but I was unable to find any roadmap for the transition.

Thanks!

Koen

Bug#323540: ilisp: fail to install with emacs-snapshot

2005-08-16 Thread YANG Shouxun
Package: ilisp
Version: 5.12.0+cvs.2004.12.24
Tags: patch

Since emacs-snapshot enters Debian sid, I decided to try it and found it
failed to configure, though emacs-snapshot runs well.

I dig the problem a bit and come to the conclusion that the problem is with
ilisp, not emacs-snapshot. The real reason is that there is emacs-snapshot
has emacs-version 22, which ilcompat.el will fall back to 'fsf-18.

The following minimal patch reuses ilfsf21.el for emacs 22. Maybe it's more in
line with ilisp's way to provide ilfsf22.el, which is almost identical to
ilfsf21.el, but the simplest is the best.
