Sid default compiler

2005-07-13 Thread Andrea Paternesi
Good mornig,

Is there a manner to set gcc 3.4 as debian testing default compiler?
Or at least have gcc 3.4 working on debian testing?

Every time i link a gcc 3.3 compiled library i get many warnings
related to the libc version. (obviously)

I have seen that debian unstable set the default compiler to gcc 4.0.

Why not upgrade the gcc also in debian testing?

Thank you.

Andrea.

I tested this problem on sparc64, dpkg-shlibdeps detects lib64gcc1 -
even if libc6 does not depend on it. BTW, during this issue, I found
the following problem on s390x:
