Though the description here is not very accurate. I still agree this
is a grave bug.

Agree, we should never follow the problematic path.

In case some people want keep up with GNOME.
Please help correcting GNOME's decision.
The bugzilla discussion is probably more on topic than that ones of d-d-l.

Architecture: amd64
Distribution: squeeze->wheezy (partial) upgrade

Hi,

automatic installation tests of packages that share a file and at the
same time do not conflict by their package dependency relationships has
detected the following problem:

  Selecting previously deselected package libicc2.
(Reading database ... 6286 files and directories currently installed.)
  Unpacking libicc2 (from .../libicc2_2.12+argyll1.1.1-1_amd64.deb) ...
  Setting up libicc2 (2.12+argyll1.1.1-1) ...

  Selecting previously deselected package icc-utils.

trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/iccdump', which is also in package libicc2
2.12+argyll1.1.1-1

This is a serious bug as it makes installation/upgrade fail, and
violates sections 7.6.1 and 10.1 of the policy.

As this problem can be demonstrated during partial upgrades from squeeze
to wheezy (but not within squeeze or wheezy itself), this indicates a
missing or insufficiently versioned Replaces+Breaks relationship.
But since this particular upgrade ordering is not forbidden by any
dependency relationship, it is possible that apt (or $PACKAGE_MANAGER)
will use this erroneus path on squeeze->wheezy upgrades.

Here is a list of files that are known to be shared by both packages
(according to the Contents files for squeeze and wheezy on amd64, which
may be slightly out of sync):

  usr/bin/iccdump
  usr/bin/icclu

The icc-utils package was added recently:

The following relationships are currently defined:

  Package: icc-utils
  Depends: libicc2
  Conflicts: n/a
  Breaks:n/a
  Replaces:  libicc2 (<= 1.4.0-1)

But libicc2 has the version number prefixed with "2.12+argyll", so
this does not match.

The following relationships should be added for a clean takeover of
these files
(http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces):

  Package: icc-utils
  Breaks: libicc2 (<< 2.12+argyll1.4.0-2)
  Replaces: libicc2 (<< 2.12+argyll1.4.0-2)

IMO (<< 2.12+argyll1.4.0-2) is preferable over (<= 2.12+argyll1.4.0-1)
as the latter does now cover binNMUs like 2.12+argyll1.4.0-1+b1.

Cheers,

Andreas

Hi,

The following relationships are currently defined:

I think this is a regression introduced in 3.7p3-10:
  * Fix a dangling symlink (/usr/bin/chmoddic -> catdic) on canna package.

The following relationships should be added:

  Package: canna-utils

Bug#692295: Not release critical

kthxbye

Hi,

we are investigating this bug at BSP Essen.

I am downgrading the severity to important as this does not directly
affect anyone using the package. Upgrade only fails when the service has
never been restarted manualy before, e.g. when immediately upgrading to
wheezy after installing squeeze couchdb (or fill in sid where
appropriate).

The changelog for -3 includes "Add fix_jit_crash_on_x86_64.patch, which
avoids 32-bit branch offset overflows. Taken from upstream." This is
either the same patch that was removed in -2, or a new patch causing the
same symptoms. Here is a backtrace from lightdm-kde-greeter (I'm not
currently running kwin, but I assume it would crash the same way):

As previously mentioned, this may be hardware dependent. One theory was
that the amount of physical memory has something to do with this, the
machine I'm seeing this on has 1gb. Testing in a vm with limited memory
may help in reproducing.

This is a serious bug as it makes installation fail, and violates
sections 7.6.1 and 10.1 of the policy. An optimal solution would
consist in only one of the packages installing that file, and renaming
or removing the file in the other package. Depending on the
circumstances you might also consider Replace relations or file
diversions. If the conflicting situation cannot be resolved then, as a
last resort, the two packages have to declare a mutual
Conflict. Please take into account that Replaces, Conflicts and
diversions should only be used when packages provide different
implementations for the same functionality.

Here is a list of files that are known to be shared by both packages
(according to the Contents file for sid/amd64, which may be
slightly out of sync):

  /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/capistrano/ext/multistage.rb

This bug has been filed against both packages. If you, the maintainers of
the two packages in question, have agreed on which of the packages will
resolve the problem please reassign the bug to that package. You may then
also register in the BTS that the other package is affected by the bug.

-Ralf.

Bug#694285: proofgeneral-doc: missing Breaks+Replaces: proofgeneral (<< 4)

2012-11-25 Thread Hendrik Tews
Hi,

thanks for detecting this problem.

 Package: proofgeneral-doc
 Breaks: proofgeneral (<< 4)
 Replaces: proofgeneral (<< 4)

It makes certainly sense to add these dependencies, although,
without having read the documentation, I would only add the
Breaks, because the new proofgeneral-doc does not replace the old
proofgeneral.

I am on a conference next week and I am not a DD, so it might
probably take two weeks until this is fixed. If anybody wants to
do a NMU for this, I would certainly be grateful.

Bye,

Hendrik

Bug#694289: python-gdata-doc: missing Breaks+Replaces: python-gdata (<< 2.0.14-2)

2012-11-25 Thread Dmitry Shachnev
Thanks for reporting this. I've fixed this in both unstable and
experimental branches now.

Unfortunately, I don't have DM tag set for the package, so I can't
upload it. It would be good if you or someone from our team sponsored
it.

I've uploaded the package to mentors.debian.net:

http://mentors.debian.net/package/python-gdata
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/python-gdata/python-gdata_2.0.17-1+wheezy1.dsc

(version 2.0.17-2 is already used for experimental package, so I used
-1+wheezy1 suffix here).

Cheers,

Replaces means "takes over some files from $otherpackage ($oldversion)"
Breaks means that $otherpackage ($oldversion) is no longer properly
functional on its own after installing the replacing package and should
either be upgraded (to a version that is no longer "broken") or removed.

Bug#693460: bcrypt: Tries to load whole file into memory regardless of the size

Hi,

attached you can find a patch against bcrypt which makes it support
large files (> 2 GiB) and files which exceed the amount of available
RAM.

I tested this with a 128 MiB RAM VM:

root@squeezevm:/tmp# uname -a
Linux squeezevm 2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP Sun Sep 23 10:07:46 UTC 2012 x86_64
GNU/Linux
root@squeezevm:/tmp# free -m
 total used free sharedbuffers cached
Mem: 118 62 56 0 25 17
-/+ buffers/cache: 19 99
Swap: 382 0382
root@squeezevm:/tmp# dd if=/dev/zero of=bigfile bs=10M count=20
20+0 records in
20+0 records out
209715200 bytes (210 MB) copied, 0.558276 s, 376 MB/s
root@squeezevm:/tmp# ./bcrypt -c bigfile
Encryption key:
Again:
root@squeezevm:/tmp# ls -hltr
total 201M
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 28K Nov 25 06:03 bcrypt
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 201M Nov 25 06:04 bigfile.bfe
root@squeezevm:/tmp# free -m
 total used free sharedbuffers cached
Mem: 118 75 43 0 21 34
-/+ buffers/cache: 20 98
Swap: 382 0382

Also, here is a large file on an i686 (32-bit) machine:

root@stability /raid $ ls -l bigfile
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 262144 2012-11-25 12:19 bigfile
root@stability /raid $ /home/michael/bcrypt-1.1/bcrypt -c bigfile
Encryption key:
Again:
/home/michael/bcrypt-1.1/bcrypt -c bigfile 188,96s user 1286,90s system 93%
cpu 26:11,79 total
root@stability /raid $ ls -l bigfile.bfe
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2621440066 2012-11-25 12:45 bigfile.bfe
root@stability /raid $ uname -a
Linux stability 2.6.30.1 #1 SMP Fri Jul 17 23:19:30 CEST 2009 i686
GNU/Linux

I have verified that the tool still works correctly by using a script.

The script runs 1000 iterations of each test, that
is, it tests that the new version can still read files created by the
old version, and it tests that the old version can still read files
created by the new version. You can find the script in the pull
request linked below.

I also tested that files created on big-endian machines can be
decrypted on little-endian machines and vice-versa.

I have also submitted this patch to the new upstream location at
https://github.com/casta/bcrypt/pull/1

Package: texlive-binaries
Version: 2012.20121120-1
Severity: serious
Justification: failed upgrade

Hi,

From today's upgrade:

| Building format(s) --refresh.
| This may take some time...
| fmtutil-sys failed. Output has been stored in
| /tmp/fmtutil.dCOi0XZH
| Please include this file if you report a bug.

| # cat /tmp/fmtutil.dCOi0XZH
| /var/lib/dpkg/info/texlive-binaries.postinst: 30:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/texlive-binaries.postinst: fmtutil-sys: not found

Indeed, "which fmtutil-sys" tells me there is no such file.

Downgrading to 2012.20120628-4 seems to work fine (and makes
/usr/bin/fmtutil-sys reappear). Upgrading again fails again in the
same way.

Thanks for packaging the new texlive version so quickly so bugs
like this can be found. If there's additional information I
can provide to help track this down, just ask.

Hope that helps,
Jonathan

The question IMHO is: Is that worth the effort? To make that more
general we should add probably some more disallowed charcters, see [1].

In addition, the schema files shipped with squeeze do not contain the
problematic "+" anymore. I guess the unfortunate schema name is a
leftover from lenny. So adding an improved error message might be
enough.

It might be even justified to downgrade the bug. As the package is
rather complex, I leave the decision to others (maintainers?).

Best regards,

 Andi

Bug#693460: bcrypt: Tries to load whole file into memory regardless of the size

2012-11-25 Thread Margarita Manterola
Hola Michael Stapelberg!

I have a couple of comments regarding your patch:

 /* from wrapbf.c */
-uLong BFEncrypt(char **input, char *key, uLong sz,
-   BCoptions *options);
-uLong BFDecrypt(char **input, char *key, char *key2,
-   uLong sz, BCoptions *options);
+off_t BFEncrypt(int infd, int outfd, char *key, BCoptions *options);
+off_t BFDecrypt(int infd, int outfd, char *key, char *key2, BCoptions
*options);

Please respect the original author indenting style.

+if (outfd == -1) {
+  perror("open(infile)");
+  continue;
 }

This should be perror("open(outfile)");

+} else {
+  if ((sz = BFDecrypt(infd, outfd, key, key2, &options)) == 0) {
 fprintf(stderr, "Invalid encryption key for file: %s\n", infile);
 exit(1);
   }
+  ftruncate(outfd, sz);
+}

What's the point of the truncate there?

For the complicated part, I would need more time to review it, but I think
it's a too disruptive change to make it into wheezy's release. It's
basically a complete refactor of the whole encryption/decryption functions.

Also, I'm really not sure it makes much sense to have this tool. It could
easily be replaced by a shell script that calls openssl and shred
appropriately.

Hi Margarita,

Margarita Manterola writes:

There hardly is such a thing. The source code as-is uses different
indenting styles. But that is a minor nitpick not worthy of
discussion. Feel free to change my patch as you see fit.

Correct.

Since I don’t do all the processing in memory anymore, I cannot truncate
the file in memory (as the old code did). Therefore I just write the key
+ padding block to the output file and then truncate it. There is a
comment in the decryption function which explains how to improve this
situation, but since that is not really related to this issue, I didn’t
spend any time on that.

I agree that this is a large change. I tried to convince you that the
change is alright by providing a fuzzing-style automated testing script
which ran on my machine for thousands of iterations and did not find any
regressions.

I have to wonder: Since you seem opposed to fixing this for wheezy, why
did you not update your bugreport accordingly so that my — apparently
unnecessary and useless — work could have been prevented? It cost me
many hours to work on this.

I do agree, but that would break at least around 300 installations
(according to popcon). Consider that bcrypt could be part of custom
backup scripts.

In case you want to provide a wrapper script which is binary-compatible
with the original file format, feel free, but I think that is definitely
a too large change for wheezy either ;-).

Bug#679980: Discuss possible ways of fixing license issue in cacti, RC bug 679980

2012-11-25 Thread Paul Gevers
Hi release team,

Cacti has a nearly 5 months old standing RC bug [1] filed against it
about files with a non-DFSG license (distribution is possible, but
others can not use the copy for other purposes, they need to get their
own free copy). I was hoping that cacti upstream would create the code
needed to provide the functionality [2] that would be removed by
removing the files in question. I have now given up on that happening
soon, so I have created a patch [3] to do that. Before implementing this
in the Debian cacti package, I request your opinion on what is
acceptable for wheezy.

I see several options:

1) Ignore this bug for wheezy as these files are shipped already for so
long and distribution is still allowed (I would prefer we don't choose
this option).

2) Remove the problematic files from source, leaving the cacti package
slightly crippled. The functionality in question is not needed for cacti
to work, but if you monitor lots of systems with cacti, your ability to
locate the proper graphs easily is decreased. (I would rather prefer 1)).

3) Remove the problematic files from source, and apply the patch I
attached to bug 679980 [3], but DON'T add the needed jstree code to the
package. As my patch, in contrast to the current tree, generates a
visible (but non-collapsing) HTML tree, this option is already better
than 1). However, the tree would be enormous for large sites, still
making it hardly useful for them. This option will be better than 2),
even more so for small sites.

4) Same as 3) but also embed jstree in the package [4]. As the jquery
and jquery-cookies dependency can be satisfied by packages already in
Debian, only jstree is needed to be in cacti. It should be clear that I
prefer this solution (that is why I did the work) but I can imagine that
the release team finds it too intrusive in this stage of the release cycle.

So my request is that you state how you want this bug resolved for
wheezy. If needed, I can prepare the preferred option in experimental
first, so you can postpone the final decision. But the main change will
be the patch [3] and the inclusion of jstee [5] and it's css and
pictures [6].

With kind regards,
Paul

By the way, I would still like to include the changes in the unblock bug
683684, as I already see questions popping up on the upstream forum
(mostly Ubuntu users of current version 0.8.8.a-3).

I'm neither the maintainer nor part of the release team, so I have no
authority to decide anything. However, I thought it was clear from my
first mail that I considered that the package was in a very bad state and
that a fix would be too disruptive for wheezy. I did want to get the
package fixed for the future, though.

Your patch does seem to work on fixing most of the issues that I had
identified, and you have tested it thoroughly (I haven't run the tests
myself, though), so I guess it would be alright to upload it to unstable.
However, I doubt that such a big change for such a small package would be
granted an unblock for testing.

> I do agree, but that would break at least around 300 installations

Well, 293 installations, with "61" votes (regular use). I really think it
would be a bad idea to have a tool that deletes and shreds files as an
automatic backup tool, but other people might have other ideas...

> In case you want to provide a wrapper script which is binary-compatible

Right, I didn't think about binary compatibility, and I wasn't really
planning on getting a block exception for that one either. Do you think
it's not possible to achieve binary compatibility using the openssl
command?

Package: pytables
Version: 2.3.1-3
Severity: important

pytables hardcodes the hdf5 version number it was built against into its
binaries. When the hdf version changes it then aborts with following
error message:

Warning! ***HDF5 library version mismatched error***
The HDF5 header files used to compile this application do not match
the version used by the HDF5 library to which this application is linked.
Data corruption or segmentation faults may occur if the application
continues.
This can happen when an application was compiled by one version of HDF5 but
linked with a different version of static or shared HDF5 library.
You should recompile the application or check your shared library related
settings such as 'LD_LIBRARY_PATH'.
'HDF5_DISABLE_VERSION_CHECK' environment variable is set to 1,
application will
continue at your own risk.
Headers are 1.8.8, library is 1.8.9

the error message originates from libhdf which was obviously built with
the correct headers, see H5check_version.

this can currently be seen with a minimal pytables script in

Bug#694289: python-gdata-doc: missing Breaks+Replaces: python-gdata (<< 2.0.14-2)

2012-11-25 Thread Jakub Wilk

* Dmitry Shachnev , 2012-11-25, 15:08:

I've uploaded the package to mentors.debian.net:

http://mentors.debian.net/package/python-gdata
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/python-gdata/python-gdata_2.0.17-1+wheezy1.dsc

(version 2.0.17-2 is already used for experimental package, so I used
-1+wheezy1 suffix here).

I believe that Release Team's preferred suffix is +deb7u1. (Though this
new versioning scheme doesn't seem to be documented anywhere yet...)

Bug#692791: Last paches for cups as non root

2012-11-25 Thread Martin Pitt
Bonjour Bastien,

Bastien ROUCARIES [2012-11-24 23:18 +0100]:
> Do you remember what is the last version that support non root on debian ?

It's in the changelog: It was dropped in

cupsys (1.2.12-2) unstable; urgency=low
[...]
  * Drop the derooting changes. It still has some regressions, and with
upstream not even acknowledging the need for improving cupsys' security we
will sit on this forever. This will be replaced by an AppArmor/SELinux
profiles in the future.
- Drop derooting related patches:
  06_disable_backend_setuid.dpatch
  10_external_pam_helper.dpatch
  09_runasuser.dpatch
  09_runasuser_autoconf.dpatch
- debian/cupsys{,-client}.postinst: Drop the 'cupsys' user setup and file
  permission juggling.
- debian/rules:
  + Drop --with-cups-user configure option.
+ Do not modify the upstream default backend permissions.
- debian/cupsys.init.d: Do not touch log file permissions any more.
- debian/cupsys.files: Drop cups-check-pam-auth.
- debian/NEWS: Drop description of derooting changes.
- debian/control: Drop adduser dependency.

I. e. 1.2.12-1 was the last version. This commit removed the
de-rooting:

Bug#690851: Code review

2012-11-25 Thread Dominik George
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

severity 690851 important
kthxbye

Hi,

in the ocurse of the BSP Essen I took a close look at this report and the
proposed patch.

First of all, I am downgrading the severity of the bug to important to
remove it from the RC list. The background is that the changes are most
likely not trivial enough to get a freeze exception for wheezy and the
issue is not critical enough to justify it as RC.

Looking at the code, I have a few questions:

addrs = None
try:
_ttl, addrs = resolve_ipv4(hostname)
except:
_ttl, addrs = resolve_ipv6(hostname)

Is preferring IPv4 over IPv6 the expected behaviour? It diverts from the
normal behaviour of other code.

if ipv4_res is not None:
for res in ipv4_res:

(et al), this looks the same as what was there before, but it is a bug.
The ipv4_res could be False, which is also not iterable.

if ipv4_res:

would be better, proper exception handling would be best.

Bug#694330: python-mako-doc: missing Breaks+Replaces: python3-mako (<< 0.3.6-1)

2012-11-25 Thread Andreas Beckmann
Package: python-mako-doc
Version: 0.3.6-1
Severity: serious
User: trei...@debian.org
Usertags: edos-file-overwrite

Architecture: amd64
Distribution: squeeze->wheezy (partial) upgrade

Hi,

automatic installation tests of packages that share a file and at the
same time do not conflict by their package dependency relationships has
detected the following problem:

  Selecting previously deselected package python3-mako.
  Unpacking python3-mako (from .../python3-mako_0.3.4-5_all.deb) ...

  Setting up python3-mako (0.3.4-5) ...

  Selecting previously deselected package python-mako-doc.
  Unpacking python-mako-doc (from .../python-mako-doc_0.7.0-1_all.deb) ...
  dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/python-mako-doc_0.7.0-1_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/share/doc/python3-mako/changelog.gz', which is
also in package python3-mako 0.3.4-5

(according to the Contents files for squeeze and wheezy on amd64, which
may be slightly out of sync):

  usr/share/doc/python3-mako/changelog.gz

The -doc package was recently split off:

  mako (0.3.6-1) unstable; urgency=low
   * Add python-mako-doc package (and move documentation, examples and VIM
files there), rebuild docs using Sphinx

The following relationships are currently defined:

  Package: python-mako-doc
  Conflicts: n/a
  Breaks:python-mako (<< 0.3.6-1)
  Replaces: python-mako (<< 0.3.6-1)

Looks like python3-mako was forgotten ...

The following relationships should be added for a clean takeover of
these files
(http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces):

  Package: python-mako-doc
  Breaks: python3-mako (<< 0.3.6-1)
  Replaces: python3-mako (<< 0.3.6-1)

Cheers,

Andreas

Bug#694323: Bug#694324: Fonts include copyrighted adobe fragment all right reserved

Do I understand correctly that we're not supposed to do anything, but
just wait until fontforge is fixed?

Hm, I'm wondering: Although lmodern's readme says

,
| The package consists of the files in the directories conforming
| to the TeX Directory Structure (v. 1.1), splitted into three archives:
|
| lm2.003-bas.zip -- basic set; the directories contain:
| [...]
| lm2.003mt1.zip -- Latin Modern source font files for the METATYPE1 package
`

The Debian orig.tar.gz doesn't seem to contain the source archive's
contents. I'm not familiar with font generation, but it seems to me
that, in order to be able to generate corrected Type1 files with a fixed
fontforge version, we would need the contents of lm2.003.mt1.zip, e.g.:

$ ls fonts/source/public/lm/lmr10*
fonts/source/public/lm/lmr10.mp fonts/source/public/lm/lmr10.mph
fonts/source/public/lm/lmr10.mpm
fonts/source/public/lm/lmr10.mpg fonts/source/public/lm/lmr10.mpl
$ cat fonts/source/public/lm/lmr10.mp
This file belongs to the Latin Modern package. The work is released
under the GUST Font License. See the MANIFEST-Latin-Modern.txt and
README-Latin-Modern.txt files for the details. For the most recent version
of
 this license see
http://www.gust.org.pl/fonts/licenses/GUST-FONT-LICENSE.txt
 or http://tug.org/fonts/licenses/GUST-FONT-LICENSE.txt

% LATIN MODERN font: a driver file for lmr10
input fontbase;
vardef cm_pal = "cmr10" enddef;
input comm_mac; % common defs, CM params
input comm_mph; % common header
input lmr10.mpm; % metric data
input lmr10.mph; % PS-oriented header
beginfont
input lmr10.mpg; % ``frozen'' glyphs
input comm_mpg; % common glyphs (mainly diacritics)
if known generating: % optimize proofing time
 input lmr10.mpl;% ligatures and kerns
fi
endfont
 EOF
$

Does that mean we have one more RC bug, namely that the sources are
incomplete? debian/copyright says:

The following TeX Live packages were downloaded from
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/systems/texlive/tlnet/archive/
and merged into one orig.tar.gz file:
lm.tar.xz
lm.doc.tar.xz
lm-math.tar.xz
lm-math.doc.tar.xz

These are files prepared by TeXLive, not the original lmodern
authors. In this directory, there is an additional lm.source.tar.xz
file. It seems to me we should include its contents, too, shouldn't we?

Does the same apply to TeX-Gyre?

Regards, Frank

Architecture: amd64
Distribution: squeeze->wheezy (partial) upgrade

Hi,

automatic installation tests of packages that share a file and at the
same time do not conflict by their package dependency relationships has
detected the following problem:

  Selecting previously deselected package coccinelle.
  Unpacking coccinelle (from .../coccinelle_0.2.3.deb-1_amd64.deb) ...

  Setting up coccinelle (0.2.3.deb-1) ...
  Processing triggers for python-support ...

  Selecting previously deselected package coccinelle-doc.
  Unpacking coccinelle-doc (from .../coccinelle-doc_1.0.0~rc12.deb-4_all.deb)
...
  dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/coccinelle-doc_1.0.0~rc12.deb-4_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/share/doc-base/coccinelle-manual', which is also
in package coccinelle 0.2.3.deb-1

(according to the Contents files for squeeze and wheezy on amd64, which
may be slightly out of sync):

  usr/share/doc-base/coccinelle-grammar
  usr/share/doc-base/coccinelle-manual
  usr/share/doc-base/coccinelle-options

The following relationships are currently defined:

  Package: coccinelle-doc
  Conflicts: n/a
  Breaks:n/a
  Replaces: n/a

I think this was caused by splitting out the -doc package:
  coccinelle (1.0.0~rc7.deb-4) unstable; urgency=low
   * Move pdf documentation and examples into a separate package

The following relationships should be added for a clean takeover
of these files
(http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces):

  Package: coccinelle-doc
  Breaks: coccinelle (<< 1.0.0~rc7.deb-4)
  Replaces: coccinelle (<< 1.0.0~rc7.deb-4)

Cheers,

Andreas

This looks like a very serious design issue with gvfs indeed.

Has this been forwarded to bugzilla.gnome.org or discussed on upstream

Bug#694254: cyrus-common-2.4: upgrading from lenny to squeeze to wheezy requires db4.2-util in wheezy for db migration

upgrading from lenny to squeeze required manual intervention. E.g. it's more a
feature than a bug.
