Bug#773867: no sources.lists in bootstraped foreign chroots
package: debootstrap version: 1.0.64~bpo70 Hi, first of all, two phase bootstrapping rocks. debootstrap²++! :-) problem description / steps to reproduce (on amd64 on wheezy, with debooststrap from bpo): # apt-get install qemu-user-static binfmt-support # debootstrap --arch=armel --foreign jessie ./jessie http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian # cp /usr/bin/qemu-arm-static jessie/usr/bin/ # chroot ./jessie/ /debootstrap/debootstrap --second-stage -> a nice armel chroot, but /etc/apt/sources.list is empty (and so is sources.list.d/) cheers, Holger signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

It don ned the other firmware files on my installed > system. Can you help me why this is? Each of those filenames is used for a particular firmware API version (*not* an exact version of the firmware). The driver requests the filename corresponding to the newest firmware API version it supports (iwlwifi-1000-5.ucode in this case), and if that fails then it will request older versions. The installer tries to work out what files are missing by looking for error messages about missing files, and as the driver requests all those files it will list all the files. But really you only need one of them. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings If more than one person is responsible for a bug, no one is at fault. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
Bug#773880: installation-reports: EFI partition cannot be logical
Package: installation-reports Severity: normal Tags: d-i Dear Maintainer, When I tried to install Debian Jessie on a UEFI PC for the first time, I tried to create the EFI partition as a logical one. This resulted in GRUB entering rescue mode and the system unable to boot. Everything worked fine when I tried again with the EFI partition as a primary one. In case the EFI partition must be primary, the solution is to simply modify the installer so that it does not allow the EFI partition to be logical. -- Package-specific info: Boot method: Image version: Date: Machine: Partitions: Base System Installation Checklist: [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Initial boot: [ ] Detect network card:[ ] Configure network: [ ] Detect CD: [ ] Load installer modules: [ ] Clock/timezone setup: [ ] User/password setup:[ ] Detect hard drives: [ ] Partition hard drives: [ ] Install base system:[ ] Install tasks: [ ] Install boot loader:[ ] Overall install:[ ] Comments/Problems: -- Please make sure that the hardware-summary log file, and any other installation logs that you think would be useful are attached to this report. Bug#773763: task-mate-desktop: Should install libreoffice-gnome

A quick measurement from a fresh MATE installation gives only 4MiB additional installed size. This would probably need to be added to other desktop tasks too: task-lxde-desktop, task-xfce-desktop, task-cinnamon-desktop, task-mate-desktop (but not task-kde-desktop, since the KDE desktop is not accessible with Orca yet). Package: flash-kernel Version: 3.28 Severity: normal Tags: patch When running the 3.18 kernel from experimental on a BeagleBone Black, /proc/device-tree/model contains "TI AM335x BeagleBone Black".
