[Debconf-discuss] Heidelberg bus 32 info
The info page[1] mentions bus 32 but there is no link or timetable info I went looking for details and found the following: - Google Maps doesn't seem to know about this bus when giving directions, it knows the place as "DJH Jugendherberge Heidelberg International" but it doesn't show the stop on the map - Openstreetmap says it is not found - Google finds the bus route is known to Openstreetmap though[2] - one of the top results in a Google search for "Heidelberg bus 32" is vrn.de[3] but it doesn't seem to know the bus stop, type Jugendheberge and it goes to "Mardorf (Nidersachs), Jugendherberge" or "Uberlingen (Bodens), Jugenherberge" - there is another site, bus-bahn-fahrplan.de that appears to show a lot more detail, exact bus times[4] - is this info official and is it correct? This final link appears to suggest 6 buses/hour weekdays, 3 buses/hour weekends and 2 buses/hour from 9pm. Maybe somebody could add that on the info page if it is correct? 1. http://debconf15.debconf.org/information.xhtml 2. https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/57251 3. http://efa9.vrn.de/vrn/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?language=en&place_destination=Heidelberg&name_destination=Hbf&type_destination=stop&place_origin=Heidelberg&name_origin=Kernphysik.Instit.&type_origin=stop 4. http://bus-bahn-fahrplan.de/fahrplan-heidelberg/28-518168/bus-32-neuenheim-kopfklinik-heidelberg-hauptbahnhof-bus ___ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss

The youth hostel has its own stop "Jugendherberge"." [3] redirects the entry "Heidelberg Jugendherberge" to "Neuenheim, Jugendherberge" which matches "Neuenheim" in [1], and which looks good according to the shown map (there's a zoo and a river). Going to http://fahrplanauskunft.vrn.de/vrn/XSLT_TTB_REQUEST?language=en , entering "Bus RNV 32" into the "Route" field and pressing "Fahrplanbuchseiten erstellen" shows the complete timetable. This seems to be a stable direct link: http://fahrplanauskunft.vrn.de/vrn/TTB/efa10-2_6713_TP.pdf http://www.rnv-online.de/ looks a bit more modern. Timetables: - from the main station to the YH: http://www.rnv-online.de/fileadmin/user_upload/downloads/Aushangfahrplaene/32_1_10999.pdf - from the youth hostel to town: http://www.rnv-online.de/fileadmin/user_upload/downloads/Aushangfahrplaene/32_2_11198.pdf - static map: http://www.rnv-online.de/uploads/media/Liniennetzplan_HD_02.pdf http://www.rnv-online.de/fileadmin/user_upload/downloads/Plaene/Liniennetzplaene/Liniennetzplan_HD.pdf (the YH is in the top left, the main station is the "DB" in the center) - dynamic map: http://www.rnv-online.de/fahrplaene/aushangfahrplaene/plan/ort/heidelberg/plan.html?no_cache=1 Now someone should update [1] :) Cheers, gregor -- .''`. It knows the appropriate stop as "Neuenheim, Jugendherberge", as the hostel is located in Heidelberg-Neuenheim. I would, however, rather go for http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/, this is available in English as well (click on the arrow on the side of "Deutschland" and change to "USA"), has a reasonably correct timetable and is less picky regarding station names (as in "will recognize 'heidelberg, jugendherberge' with and without punctuation as well") > This final link appears to suggest 6 buses/hour weekdays, 3 buses/hour > weekends and 2 buses/hour from 9pm. That is correct. Half of the buses take a slight detour, but that shouldn't be a big issue. Greetings Marc -- - Marc Haber | "I don't trust Computers.
