[Debconf-discuss] Moving schedule by one hour (Was: Sauna, Pool, Gym and running)

Yesterday we had a short / small real live meeting and found a decision.
I admit it is really late - but better fix a bug late than never.
iI'm sorry to say that my daily routine was so divergent from what is usual here
that I was unable to imagine that 9:00 in the morning is to early. In the past
nobody insisted strong enough against my proposal - but the last day when I
experienced Argentina myself convinced me somehow.

So after breakfast I'll start moving every talk so that it fits into the
following

  10:00 - 13:00 ( three talks in the morning)
15:00 - 17:00 ( two talks between Lunch and coffee break)
18:00 - 21:00 ( three talks (in practice it might be only two)
in the evening )

This proposal is adapted to tha fect that Lunch might last about 90min
and to enable everybody to join the coffee break without missing a talk.

So I know it is late and you can not fit everybodies gusto - but I hope
that people feel more comfortable when the schedule fits the life style
and catering facts as best as possible.

Happy to stay at DebCamp with friends now

Andreas.

There seems to be a randomizing element - When I crossed, an officer
had to push a button which gave me a red light. Fortunately, that only
meant having all of my luggage go through the X-ray machine. And all
in all, I am pretty sure they weren't even looking at it - I brought 2
Kg of corn flour for some friends who specifically requested for
it. Were I to see them as a customs officer, I'd immediately think it
was cocaine or something like that.

I have not found non-concrete, non-sand. Has anyone approached the
hotel about this?

I couldn't see the event details by accessing this URL. Could you check

Sorry, this was the internal logged-in view. Just try:

BTW, Debian-Br would be more than welcome. I also like to see Linex
in. Cesar?

[Debconf-discuss] Food schedule

2008-08-06 Thread Martín Ferrari
Hi there,

News about the food schedule. Until Friday, the following schedule applies:

7:30-10:30 breakfast
11:00-11:30 coffee break #1
12:30-14:30 lunch
17:30-18:00 coffee break #1
20:30-23:30 dinner

Starting from Saturday:

7:30-10:30 breakfast
11:00-11:30 coffee break #1
12:00-15:00 lunch (but you should not arrive after 14:30)
17:00-18:00 coffee break #1
20:00-23:00 dinner

This way, we hope to align better with talks. After Saturday, please
take into account that we'll exceed the restaurant capacity, so
sometimes we'll have to wait for places to be available.

[Debconf-discuss] DayTrip

2008-08-06 Thread Martín Ferrari
Hi there,

We're arraging the final bits for the DayTrip. It will happen in a
ranch in the countryside, which we'll reach in a 20-30 min. trip by
bus.

There we'll be able to enjoy a day in the open (if the weather
permits), and -$deity forbids- even practice some sports. The food
will be a Argentinian style barbecue for non-veg(an|etarian)s, and
salads and vegetables pie for the aforementioned. It won't be
suspended because of bad weather, there's space inside for us.

As our budget is very tight at the moment we won't be able to make it
fully sponsored, as was our initial idea. So each participant will
have to pay ARS $50 (about the half).

We'll post more details tomorrow. But please remember that we'll need
to collect the money soon, hopefully starting tomorrow.

I don't arrive in MDQ until Saturday evening but can send money earlier
