[Debconf-discuss] visa-invitation letter: we need help

2007-03-06 Thread Holger Levsen
Hi,

to send out the invitation letter for people needing visas to come to
Edinburgh, we need help to review it, so that we dont send out invitations
that could bring us in trouble.

If you can and want to help, please reply to this mail. Also if you know more
details what kind of help is actually needed. But basically its reviewing an
already written letter and checking back with a person who knows about the
legal details.

This is somewhat urgend, as DebConf starts in 3 Months, and people need to
apply for the visa and get it approved, before they (sensibly) can buy their
flight tickets (I dont think that anybody who needs a visa will not come by
plane ;)

regards,
Holger

Well, I guess this link it's important for this topic.

umm..A model must exist that use in previous DebConf. we can be based on
that, if the ones in charge send to us what they have available.

regards!

The coach is likely to be the cheapest option (you can probably find one
cheaper than that).

However, the train won't be much more than the price you quote -- maybe
£50 return if booked in advance, to give a round number -- and is *much*
quicker and more comfortable.

I agree with Moray about the speed and comfort but if you really do
want to go by coach another company to try is www.megabus.com. If you
are lucky and price is more important you can get very cheap fares
with them but you can only buy tickets about a month in advance.

Daniel

[Debconf-discuss] DebConf6 Final Report

2007-03-06 Thread Joerg Jaspert
Hi

if you attended DebConf6 - how about you send us a little statement
about your impression of it? We are *finally* preparing the Final Report
for it and would want to include a number of impressions attendees got.

It doesnt need to be much, between 3 lines and a page of text. Only
format needed is that of paragraphs, rest is done by us. Please include
a little information about how we should print your name, ie simple "Joe
Random" or "Joe Random, $YOUR_COMPANIES_NAME".

Send everything to [EMAIL PROTECTED] please.

(Yes, we know that we are late, but better late then never. :) )
