The coach is likely to be the cheapest option (you can probably find one
cheaper than that).

However, the train won't be much more than the price you quote -- maybe
£50 return if booked in advance, to give a round number -- and is *much*
quicker and more comfortable.

I agree with Moray about the speed and comfort but if you really do
want to go by coach another company to try is www.megabus.com. If you
are lucky and price is more important you can get very cheap fares
with them but you can only buy tickets about a month in advance.
