Antifa is like 10 idiots in this town, and 4 idiots in that town, and 6
more in this other place.  All of them sit in their Moms' basements
smoking a doobie and playing XBox and crying about how the government is
fascist.

"No Central leadership" is a true pointbut I take that as evidence
that they aren't really a thing at all.  I think you're giving them too
much credit.  Calling them terrorists is like calling me a terrorist.
Even if it's true, I'm still irrelevant and so is Antifa.  They're just
a distraction.

By design black bloc is cell based with no central leadership. The US
variant of antifa is a corruption of the ideals. Stragglers latched
onto european tactics, terminology and perverted the ideology. They're
worse than a cult, and they have a cryptic and perverted hierarchy.
The vast majority recruited (they have a huge recruitment machine) are
outcasts, the type that are going to become a victim of whatever
ideology gives them a feeling of importance. Like any cult, gang, etc.
They're groomed online until they get given a task. In the mean time
they're encouraged to promote anarchy. By the time they are engaged to
any serious task, you'd need Guantanamo level interrogation to get
them to talk. Martyrdom is heroic. Not getting caught is even more
heroic to them. Watch how they swarm, they put bodies against a
target, the actor then moves in, makes the attack, backs through the
line and disappears, then the crowd disperses and regroups. They're
very chaotically organized and you have about the same chance of
breaking a cell as you do breaking an ISIS cell. And their ideology is
as strong as ISIS. They may have been punks at one point, and they are
still physically weak, but they are as dangerous as isis because they
believe your life is not as valuable as what they are indoctrinated to
believe is right. Black bloc "leadership" arent the folks you'd
expect. PayPal, GoFundMe, and bitcoin makes a massive amount of money
off of antifa transactions.
These kids liken themselves to the French resistance, and they're
brainwashed into believing they're similar.

Launch window flexibility is a function of the ride to space and not the
Crew Dragon / Starliner. Falcon 9 reaches MECO and stage separation much
earlier in flight, which is a big part of why it can land. Atlas5 first
stage does more of the work and has time to change trajectory a bit more
opening up the window by a few minutes. Off the top of my head, you
launch when the target is directly overhead. Any delay beyond that
requires a dog leg.

[AFMUG] OT - grocery store report

2020-06-01 Thread Ken Hohhof
So beef is getting scarce and quite expensive. There's plenty of salmon.
Based on news reports, I expected pork to be a problem, but there were slabs
of back ribs aplenty.

But the big mystery for me is toilet paper. We've gone 3 months on one
package of a dozen rolls but are down to 2 rolls so we'll eventually have to
buy more. The stores have plenty of toilet paper now, and aren't even
limiting how much you can buy, but all they have is the "mega" rolls. They
would have you believe the mega rolls fit everybody's roll holders unless
your house was built before 1950, but I don't think they fit anybody's roll
holders, unless you buy a "roll extender".

How are you guys solving this problem? Roll extenders? Set the roll on the
vanity or windowsill until you use up half the TP and the roll is small
enough to fit the holder in the wall?

I wonder if an M-TOW could be used? I think the O.D. might be too big for a
TP roll to fit.

read an article that says Ford is bringing out a software mod for police

claim tests at a university showed this to kill the virus.

Depends on the stores here, but one of the main stores is now selling

We just happened to be lucky and bought it on sale back in January when

buy more. The stores have plenty of toilet paper now, and aren’t even limiting
how much you can buy, but all they have is the “mega” rolls. They would have
you believe the mega rolls fit everybody’s roll holders unless your house was
built before 1950, but I don’t think they fit anybody’s roll holders, unless
you buy a “roll extender”.

How are you guys solving this problem? Roll extenders? Set the roll on the
vanity or windowsill until you use up half the TP and the roll is small enough
to fit the holder in the wall?

I wonder if an M-TOW could be used? I think the O.D. might be too big for a
TP roll to fit.

I would not worry about it too much. Word is that UV will
deactivate the virus in about 12 minutes. Leave the windows
rolled up and in the sun, and ol' Sol will do the job for you.
OTOH, based on low viral load, I'd maybe just keep some
sanitizing wipes handy, and hit all the high-touch areas
(steering wheel, and all knobs and handles) and you're good to
  go.
Oh, put out the word there is to be no licking of steering
  wheels or knobs or handles.

That's what they say about your clothes in the wash or dryer. Most
dryers won't reach that temp but they say that washing machines that
have their own heaters do when the washing machine is set to hot or
sanitize..

You don't need heat in the washing machine. Just soap. Soap
dissolves the envelope around the virus in less than 30 seconds.
One washing machine cycle is all you need. Hot or cold does not
  matter if soap is involved.

I made tacos yesterday with chicken thighs. Perdue, not Tyson.
Boneless/skinless. Definitely not $1.19. I don’t typically see Tyson, is that
a Walmart/Costco thing? You’re talking about fresh, not frozen, right? I
think one time when I perused groceries at Walmart they had some big packages
of frozen chicken parts.
