RE: Uploading audience via API to multiple Ad accounts

2022-11-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Moving forward to this, "Is it possible to have one app / developer token
created (and approved by Google) that we can use to upload to various Ad
accounts as long as that account Ad account gives the consent to access their
account via API?" -Yes, you can use only one OAuth app. However, If you meant
for the developer token, then note that the developer token is like a license
key; it is tied to an MCC account for approval purposes, but once approved, you
can use it to make calls against any Google Ads account. The MCC hierarchy for
making API calls doesn't matter.

For this one "is one app/token limited to one Ad manager (and Ad accounts below
it)?"
-You can create more than one OAuth app for your API console project. You may
check this documentation for more information.

And for this one, "Would this work in a Web app type better? Or a service
account."
-Kindly note that we strongly recommend using OAuth2 desktop app or web app
flow instead of service accounts unless you need a domain-specific feature (for
example, impersonation).

OAuth2 desktop app and web app flows do require an initial user interaction for
granting access to the account, but are much simpler to set up.

You may check this documentation for service accounts and this documentation
for OAuth2 desktop app or web app flow .

Best regards,

Heidi

How can I create a test manager account if I already have a "cancelled" production account?

2022-11-28 Thread Mark K
I'm trying to create a test manager account. It says here
 in
the documentation that I just click the "Create a test manager account"
button and I'll be redirected to the create page.

However, I already have a Google Ads account, but is cancelled / suspended.
So when I click the button on the documentation, I'm always redirected to
the dashboard of that Google Ad account.

What I wish to do is to just create a test manager account for now and not
a production one using my existing account.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for the reply.

Please note that in the geotargets documentation , only the criteria ID is
mentioned as having a unique and persistent value. Since your concern is about
other fields having the same values with two different criteria IDs and you are
wondering what the difference is between these two entries and which one you
should choose if you wish to target the city of Bennington in the state of
Vermont, Allow me to raise this issue to my team for further checking. Rest

Re: WBRAID & GBRAID // Offline Conversion Import via GAds API

2022-11-28 Thread 'al...@mayple.com' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

As you know, gclid has been supported for conversion creation for many
years now, in both the Google Ads UI and API.

Now, as seen in the Google documentation

- wbraid and gbraid are supported by the Google Ads API for conversion
creation.
However, the Google Ads UI does not support wbraid and gbraid for
conversion creation.
This is where there is a lack of feature parity between the Google Ads API
and UI.

Also, there is an internal inconsistency in the API - as stated, conversion
creation using the API can be done with gclid, wbraid and gbraid.
However, conversion update (restating of value) can only be done with
gclid. There is no support for wbraid and gbraid.
This is the internal inconsistency.

Thanks,

Creating Shopping Ad fails - Google Ad Script API

2022-11-28 Thread John Pelelis
Hello there,

I am trying to create a shopping ad through google ads script interface,
but while following exact instructions from documentation

 it
always fail.

*The error I get are the following *(see end of message for full error
message
- In Preview mode: "mutateError":"RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND" *[1]*
- In Run mode: IMMUTABLE_FIELD *[2]*

*The code I use*

*Why I believe it is an API issue*
I have checked the following that justifies that my code is correct:
- The "Changes" tab shows that both the campaign and Ad group are found (so
I am not calling something that doesn't exist)
- If I create the ad through Google Ads UI, it is created succesfully
- I have tested the ad creation even after 12h, but still can't make the ad
creation

Any ideas on how to tackle this? Is this an API issue or am I doing
something wrong here?

Thank you,
John

RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED Error

2022-11-28 Thread Rten Marketo
Hi Team,

We are seeing continuously resource exhausted errors while adding offline
jobs. May I know where to check for quota? It is ambiguous to understand
whether this quota is based on developer token or is it based on User
Oauth2 access token or is it based on API resource?

Could you please provide more info over quotas? and Where to get the quota
info for an API.

Re: Migration from AdWords API to Google Ads API for upload to Audience help

2022-11-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Derek,

Thanks for getting back to us.

I can see that you getting error with following:

"] Uncaught exception in the SynchronizationContext. Panic!

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not find policy 'pick_first'. Make sure
its implementation is either registered to LoadBalancerRegistry or included in
META-INF/services/io.grpc.LoadBalancerProvider from your jar files."

Also, as per your research, you already found the same issue filed on the
GitHub issue tracker here, then it is more related to the client library
concern. However, if you already have created a new issue with Issue tracker
and didn’t get any response yet, then I would recommend you to wait for their
reply so they provide further assistance in your concern.

In the meantime, you may also use the Google Ads API REST API calls to get the
user_list.id. For the REST, you may use the GoogleAdsService's search /
searchStream method as an example provided here. You may also refer to our
Query Cookbook guide which contains many reporting samples that correspond to
some of the default Google Ads screens. Following are the two endpoints to
fetch the objects from Google Ads:

search

POST /v12/customers/{customerId}/googleAds:search

Returns all rows that match the search query.

searchStream

POST /v12/customers/{customerId}/googleAds:searchStream

Returns all rows that match the search stream query.

Hi Anurag,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API team. I hope you are doing well
today.

I thoroughly checked the certain campaign id (18884298127) and I found that
this campaign is a Video and Campaign subtype to Target frequency. Note that
the not all campaign types in the Google Ads UI are supported in the API,
such as Video Campaigns. Video campaign metrics are available for retrieval in
the API. However, certain Campaign subtypes for the video campaign is not
supported such as Target frequency. Our team already submitted a feature
request for this so that in the future, this will become supported. However,
please note that this is a subject for review. With that being said, what we
can do is to advise you to keep an eye on our blog post or release notes for
the updates.

Let us know if you have further questions.

RE: How can I create a test manager account if I already have a "cancelled" production account?

2022-11-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Mark,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support tam.

If it is a test account that you wish to create, I would recommend using an
email address that is not yet associated to any Google Ads account. This way,
the link should redirect you to the creation of the test manager account.

As per this section it says that :

"...If prompted, sign in with a Google Account that isn't linked to your
production Google Ads manager account."

Let us know how this goes on your end.

Best regards,

Peter Laurence

RE: RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED Error

2022-11-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Rten,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that the RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error generally occurs when you are
sending too many requests in a short period of time. The server throws this
error once it detects that your request has exceeded the system frequency
limit. I would recommend setting up short delays between requests or combine
more operations in fewer requests.

Please refer to the Best practices guide to optimize the efficiency and
performance. Also, this may occur if you have already exceeded the daily limit
of 15,000 API operations per day. You may refer to this documentation for the
quota you need to consider daily when performing requests using the API. It
says that the basic access level allows the developer token to execute up to
15,000 operational requests per day and 1,000 get operations per day only.

However, we would request that you provide the complete request and response
logs, with the request-id, generated for the RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error in order
to check further. You can enable logging, which you may do so by navigating to
the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation,
which you can access from this link. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Nirmita

Re: Missing field in asset_group_product_group_view report

2022-11-28 Thread Oliver
Hi Darwin,

There is a difference between a 'product' and a 'listing group'. The
suggestion you made retruns the product details which is not what we want.
We want the listing group name which is completely different from the
product name. We already attached a screenshot.

The original poster explained the issue very well. I really have nothing
to add to it. I'll leave the rest to you.

It seems every time someone asks a question on this forum you guys ask for
a request/response log without considering if this is a valid approach to
answering the question. The fact of the matter is we do not have a request
log because we cannot even construct the request since we don't know what
field name to use. It really is frustrating why you guys do this all the
time.

Oliver

Hi Pablo,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

When troubleshooting enhanced conversions for web errors displayed in the
Google Ads UI, you may refer to this article.

So our team can then troubleshoot further, could you share to our team your
customer ID, and the generated and complete request and response logs and
request-id from your uploads?

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Re: Google Ads API Integration Error

2022-11-28 Thread Zweitze
This is C# / .NET library?
Here are my suggestions to improve:

GoogleAdsConfig config = new GoogleAdsConfig()
{
OAuth2Mode = Google.Ads.Gax.Config.OAuth2Flow.APPLICATION,
OAuth2ClientId = secrets.ClientId,
OAuth2ClientSecret = secrets.ClientSecret,
OAuth2RefreshToken = credential.Token.RefreshToken
};
*config.LoginCustomerId = /* The top level MCC where your account resides
in */;*
 GoogleAdsClient GACLient = new GoogleAdsClient(*config*);
// Get the AdGroupService.

The rest is the same.

Your problem was mainly constructing the GoogleAdsClient instance. If you
use the constructor without any arguments (as you did), these arguments
will be retrieved from your configuration file app.config. Using the
constructor with the config argument (the improvement) ensures the settings
you pass are used.

The other highlight, about LoginCustomerId, would probably be the next
problem you run into.

Google Ads API Conversion Events

2022-11-28 Thread Jon
Hello,

We are attempting to send Google Ads conversion data to the REST API. To be
clear, we'd like to send conversions to the conversion events defined in
the Google Ads admin console to client accounts. These conversions are
typically purchases made on websites, that we are currently using web
container tags for in GTM.

For example when a purchase event occurs, we'd like to send the conversion
to the purchase conversion in the Google Ads platform.

[image: Screen Shot 2022-11-28 at 3.50.54 PM.png]

>From my understanding
A. Our Google Ads manager account needs to have access to the client
accounts we want to upload click data for.
B. We need to call the uploadClickConversion REST API endpoint with the
appropriate object.

1. I'd like to confirm this is the process?
2. when I attempt to do this i'm getting a message that's asking for
allowListed permissions. Is this required to upload conversions to the REST
API?

Thanks,

the problem?
