Remove Custom Interest

Hi!

I don't see any option to remove Custom Interest. There are just
create/update operation according to the doc.

Do you support removing Custom Interest?

Hi Aryeh

Thanks for your message.

While my app is in test mode, can you confirm how exactly I refresh the
refresh token without the user needing to manually re-link his Google Ads
account to my app? Or is that the only way - I delete the refresh token and
the user manually goes through the steps again to link his Google Ads
account to my app?

Thanks

Re: Google Ads API

2021-12-08 Thread 'Emelie Tetrapak' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Teams,

Please find my answers inline :-

I'm Kevin from the Google Ads API Team. Let me try my best to assist you
with your concerns.

1) What is the validity period for refresh token, since my app is in
Testing Mode and External ?

Based on this documentation
, a
Google Cloud Platform project with an OAuth consent screen configured for
an external user type and a publishing status of "Testing" is issued a
refresh token expiring in 7 days.

Started the Process for Publishing the App into Production. Right now its
asking for the Domain Verification. I dont know is this needed. Can you
please look into this.

https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard?cloudshell=false&project=evident-beacon-330911

2) How can we increase the validity in case its very less or make this as a
Production App.

You may refer to this Help Center article
 on how to modify
the user type and publishing status of your Google Cloud Project's OAuth
consent screen.

Its work in progress.

3) Apart from that we are trying to setup service accounts, for accessing
the Google Ads Data. Unfortunately below error I am getting
googleads.errors.GoogleAdsServerFault: [AuthenticationError.NOT_ADS_USER @
; trigger:'']

Can you please confirm if you've all the prerequisites

 in
using service accounts for Google Ads API and if you've completed all the steps
in setting up a service account
?

If your service account has been correctly configured, please provide the
complete request

 and response

 logs
with request ID

 where
you have encountered an error as well as the the user account/email address
that you're trying to setup so I can better investigate your concern.

Steps Followed :-

1) Created a different Project for this
-
https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard?cloudshell=false&project=tetrpakadsaccount

2) Created a service Account -
srvperfdbrd-tetra...@tetrpakadsaccount.iam.gserviceaccount.com
3) Inside the Permissions Tab, given the permission to the Primary
User(the user already has access to Ads Account) with Owner + Service
Account Token Creator

Not sure apart from that what is a missing step. Can you please mention if
something or someother way to configure this.

You may send these to me via *Reply privately to author* option. If this
option is not available, please send it to googleadsa...@google.com
. Let me know in this thread once you have sent
it so I can check on our end.

4) Not able to login to Google Ads Manager
https://admanager.google.com/home/?authuser=0

You may reach out to the Ad Manager product support team
 to get
assistance on logging in to the Ad Manager web interface.

Can you please provide the mail id for product support team.

Re: Keeping the access token valid during API calls

2021-12-08 Thread Deepa Varma
Hi Team,

I am getting an error as follows when I am trying to call api
sometimes.

Client error: `POST https://www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v4/token` resulted in
a `400 Bad Request` response:
{
  "error": "unsupported_grant_type",
  "error_description": "Invalid grant_type: "
}

It is not occuring in every api calls. As some of the api calls are
successfull, I believe that the refresh token is not revoked.

Please help me figure out the issue.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi Jakeia,

Thanks so much for your help!

I checked the documentation you sent, but seeing the queries I sent
initially it looks like I'm already following the rules as outlined there.
I'm already including `segments.date` in the WHERE clause, for both
requests with and without the segment in the SELECT clause.

Is there anything I'm missing?

How to Download a report in google ads

2021-12-08 Thread Akash Prajapati
Hello,

In Adwords documentation we have *client.GetReportDownloader.* which
basically helps us to download report, but how to perform the same in
Google ads ?

How to download a report in google ads because now *reports are changed to
resources* and we have *GAQL* instead of *selectors* kindly let me know if
there is any service like we have in AdWords to download report.

Thanks

Associate an Image Asset to a Campaign using a CampaignAsset

2021-12-08 Thread SeriousJ
I have Image Assets that are used for Campaign extensions.

I successfully migrated all my Feed-based extensions to Asset-based
extensions, except for my Campaign Image extensions.

It seems to be not possible to create a CampaignAsset to link and Image
Asset to a Campaign. In other words, the following PHP code can not work:

$campaignAsset = new CampaignAsset([
'asset' => ,
'field_type' => AssetFieldType::IMAGE,
'campaign' => ResourceNames::forCampaign($customerId,
$campaignId)
]);

because AssetFieldType::IMAGE does not exist.

It still works if I use an image_feed_item to create Campaign Image
extensions. But your documentation says that Feed services will soon be
deprecated.

What should I do?

How to get criteria Id for each click?

2021-12-08 Thread Fedor Ivanov
Good day!
I still not got a clear answer to the question:
How to get criteria Id (integer) for each click in click_view?
Previously we used click_performance report and there was a field
CriteriaId that contains data we need.

In fact, we are interested in 3 click types:
- search (keyword)
- display network
- other click types

1) how to get keyword id and targeting id (=Criteria Id in
click_performance_report)?
2) how to get creative id (id of the associated ad)?

Sorry, I am rather new in this API and still do not understand a lot of
things.

It will be great if you can send AWQL code example for these operations or
give me some additional examples.

Sincerely,
Fedor Ivanov

Re: How to get MonthlySearchVolume from the new Google Ads API?

2021-12-08 Thread Ruslan

Hi. Aryeh.

Thanks for your previous reply. But we are still having some issues with a
new api.

One of the first steps of getting data from api is to create a client and
pass security credentials into the client. The problem that we have is when
credentials are not valid the API gets stuck and holds the request without
response and without any timeout or error responses. For example, please
see the code below.

Step 1. Creating a new client with *invalid credentials*

client = Google::Ads::GoogleAds::GoogleAdsClient.new do |config|
config.client_id = my_valid_adwords_client_id config.client_secret =
my_valid_adwords_client_secret config.login_customer_id =
my_valid_customer_id config.refresh_token = *'invalid refresh token'*
config.developer_token = my_valid_adwords_developer_token end

Step 2. Trying to retrieve a data from API by using invalid client from
Step 1

def create_keyword_plan operation =
client.operation.create_resource.keyword_plan do |kp| kp.name = "Keyword
plan for traffic estimate ##{timestamp}" kp.forecast_period =
client.resource.keyword_plan_forecast_period do |fp| fp.date_interval =
:NEXT_QUARTER end end keyword_plan_service = client.service.keyword_plan
*response
= keyword_plan_service.mutate_keyword_plans(customer_id:
my_valid_customer_id, operations: [operation])*
response.results.first.resource_name end

When code execution reaches this line

* response = keyword_plan_service.mutate_keyword_plans(customer_id:
my_valid_customer_id, operations: [operation])*

The API gets stuck with no response. The longes that we waited was 30 min.

My questions are. Is there any way to avoid API from getting stuck if
client data is invalid? And what is the API response timeout? Or how to
handle cases like this?
Thanks.

Also, If my developer token has Basic access either in Test or production

Does it mean I can upload a list of max size 15000 considering each user

Retrieving Correct Click Data for Non-Search Campaigns (YouTube Video Ads)

2021-12-08 Thread GAdsAPIUser
Hi,

Whenever I run a query to retrieve click data for my YouTube ads, I get too
many results. For example, when I run this query:

SELECT
  click_view.gclid,
  click_view.location_of_presence.city,
  campaign.name
FROM click_view
WHERE segments.date = '2021-11-29'
AND click_view.location_of_presence.city = 'geoTargetConstants/1001754'

I get back 10 rows of data, each row with a unique gclid, indicating that I
received 10 clicks from that location on that day.

However, since I am capturing the gclid on the landing page, I can see in
my database that this can't be true.

I only received 1 user landing on this page on that day (only 1 gclid was
captured that day).

I get the same problem on every date that I query.

Even accounting for invalid clicks, this cannot be accurate data.

The only explanation that I can come up with is that the data that I get
back here aren't just actual clicks, but also ad interactions for my
YouTube video ads. I am getting that idea from this snippet here related to
ClickView:
"For non-Search campaigns, metrics.clicks represents the number of valid
and invalid interactions."

Perhaps the gclid data is also from "interactions" and not only actual
clicks? An interaction can be someone watching the video ad for >10
seconds. I only need gclid data from actual clicks, though.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Trying to edit Product Status via API Bulk upload of CSV file.

2021-12-08 Thread 'Michael Jenkins' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
We currently are using Google Ads Editor to be able to do this. Essentially
we generate a CSV file with: Campaign Name, Ad Group, Product Group,
Product Group Type.

The Product Group Type is essentially the Product Status of Biddable or
Excluded. With the CSV we just need to add it to the Editor and Update.

However, trying to find a way to do that within the Google Ads API it seems
like that isn't possible? I am not sure if I am just missing something or
stuff is labeled differently. From what I can tell it seems like it isn't
possible which id assume it would be.

Obviously, I know I would need to port in Campaign ID, Ad Group ID, Product
ID. That I don't care about that is easy. It's just the Bulk Update
Campaign Product Bid Status via API that is not a thing.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike Jenkins

Re: No DISPLAY network data for keyword_view

2021-12-08 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Oksana,

Thank you for sending us your report definitions. I reproduced the
discrepancies, however, when filtering out enabled Content, with keyword Id of
300 and AutomaticContent, with keyword Id of 306 the reports almost
matched.

Note that the Ads API report exactly matches the display keywords screen in the
UI because the new Ads API was designed to correlate to the new UI.

You can see in the UI an aggregated Expansion and optimized targeting that
matches AutomaticContent in the content - Display Video Keywords screen in the
UI but there is no way to access this in the new Ads API.
'display_keyword_view' doesn't show any display keyword metrics for that day.
Feel free to get back to us.

2. Is there a limit on the number of customers that a list could possibly

RE: RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND error in existing adGroups.

2021-12-08 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Sayil,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

So our team can better check on this, can you share to us the complete API logs
(request and response with request-id)? In the Google Ads API, logging can be
enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java)
> Logging documentation, which you can access from this link.

Please send the requested details via the Reply privately to author option. If
this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Regards,

Mark Kevin Albios

Re: How to refresh the client refresh_token?

2021-12-08 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Steve,

I am also a member of the Google Ads API team and let me provide support to
your concern.

To answer your latest question, I am afraid that when the user encountered the
error because the refresh token has been expired, then they need to manually
allowing the OAuth2 credentials in the browser to access the Google Ads account
on their behalf.

The workaround here is to transform your test app into a fully published app
and you can reach out to GCP support to know the steps.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Hello Jia,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I can see that you've also followed up on this forum thread. A feature request
has been raised for that; however, there is no guarantee if that will be
supported in the API soon. As I've mentioned on that thread, please keep an eye
to our blog for updates and new releases instead.

Re: Tracking bidding changes with Google Ads API

2021-12-08 Thread Erik Torres Serrano

Hi Jakeia,

I appreciate your answer. I would like to have a way to query the email and
client (eg UI, API) that were used to make changes to the bidding
strategies.

Regards,

Erik
