Inaccurate Data Returned - PHP Library

2018-02-21 Thread Adam Bullock

Hey,

I'm using a test manager account with prod token. When using the official
php library and get drastically different results from keyword plannner.

When using the exact sample from
here:
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/blob/master/examples/AdWords/v201710/Optimization/EstimateKeywordTraffic.php

Only changing the keyword from cruise to dentist and the location to ID to
Miami, FL leaving the default $1 Max CPC

Results for the keyword with text 'dentist' and match type 'BROAD':
 Estimated average CPC: 714104.00 ($0.7)
 Estimated ad position: 2.33
 Estimated daily clicks: 107.53
 Estimated daily cost: 26402672.00 ($26)

I calculated those by dividing by 100 and those number are no where
near Keyword planner or even realistic.

Trying even more example of location and keyword the result get even more
unrealistic.

So what am I doing wrong in the API?

Re: Is there a way to pull imported from GA conversions with Adwords API?

2018-02-21 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Ilya,

Now that you have linked your Google Analytics and AdWords accounts
, you can
then retrieve Analytics related fields via the AdWords API, and they are
listed in this section
 for
your reference. As for the conversions that you mentioned, if they are
conversions tracked from Analytics, then I'm afraid that this is currently
not supported via the AdWords API.

However, in order to make sure that we are on the same page, could you send
to me the screenshot of the AdWords UI view wherein you are viewing the
said conversions? You may reply to me via the *Reply privately to author*
 option.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Traffic Estimator Service API give not result properly as expected.

2018-02-21 Thread pratik patel
Hello,

If We

$1 MAX CPC SET get a result using api like that

Results for the keyword with text 'mars cruise' and match type 'BROAD':
Estimated average CPC: 1131088.00
Estimated ad position: 5.94
Estimated daily clicks: 575.53
Estimated daily cost: 123977688.00

$50 MAX CPC SET get a result using api like that

Results for the keyword with text 'mars cruise' and match type 'BROAD':
Estimated average CPC: 1919166.00
Estimated ad position: 3.46
Estimated daily clicks: 106.31
Estimated daily cost: 3323986.00

Question is if we increase maxcpc in setting of api then result clicks goes
down. It will be the right thing? No i think.

In other case Keyword planner also not give this strange result.

Can any one help on fix to give same result as keyword planner from api ?

Re: Debugging the conversion tracker created from the API

2018-02-21 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Sam,

Based on this guide
,

most conversion types (e.g. AdWordsConversionTracker, AppConversion, etc.)
requires you to add a code snippet

 called
a tag that you need to add to your conversion page on your website. So in
regards to your question if you need to add the code snippet in your new
website, then the answer is yes.

You can check this guide

 on
how to track and import conversions in the API. You can also check this
Help Center Article guide
 on
how to add a conversion tracking tag to your website.

Kindly add the conversion tracking tag first in your website and let me
know if this solves your issue by recording the conversions already.

Thanks,
Vincent

Ad Performance Report not including all CreativeFinalUrls

2018-02-21 Thread Adam Moore
I'm requesting an AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT with the following selector:

$selector->fields = [
'AdGroupId',
'AdGroupName',
'CreativeFinalUrls',
'AdGroupStatus',
];
$selector->dateRange = new DateRange(
Carbon::now()->subYears(10)->toDateString(),
Carbon::now()->toDateString()
);

I have Ad Groups which contain multiple Ads, with different URL's. I would
expect the report to either contain a row for each AdGroup Ad URL, or for
all distinct Ad URL's inside the AdGroup to be contain in
the CreativeFinalUrls JSON.

I definitely do not want to report on the level of the Adverts as this
would mean I'm processing millions of records rather than thousands (of
AdGroups). However we do also need to know all distinct AdGroup URL's for
our reporting.

Re: Ad Performance Report not including all CreativeFinalUrls

2018-02-21 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Adam,

The Ad Performance Report will return stats at the ad level with one row
per ad. The CreativeFinalUrls

 gives
you the list of final URLs of the ad and can be retrieved using the Ad
Performance Report. It is currently not possible to pull these stats at the
AdGroup level. However, to get the CreativeFinalUrls for a specific ad
group, you could query for that specific ad group and it will return the
urls for the ads in that ad group.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Issue with CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2018-02-21 Thread serguei
Hello everyone,

I have an issue concerning creating a report on Campaigns.

I'm currently on a test account which is in a manager account and I do my
tests with my test account.

The issue is that when I do the report, it doesn't show an error, but shows
only empty string like that: (The ERROR = and REPORT
== are mine)

ERROR ==
null
ERROR ==
REPORT =

"Custom Adgroup Performance Report (Feb 19, 2018-Feb 21, 2018)"
Campaign ID,Campaign,Impressions,Clicks,Cost,Budget
Total, --,0,0,0,0

REPORT =

The problem is that I created campaigns on both in my manager account and
my test account and I gave billing informations for these two accounts, but
my request considerates the thing that these campaigns don't exist.

I'm doing my request with a node.js module (node-adwords), but I've got
refresh token from Google with it, so I think the problem is not
necessarily because of that module.

Thank you and have a good day.
Serguei.

issue with campaign management

2018-02-21 Thread serguei
Hello everyone,

I have an issue on Adwords API. Indeed, I can't do a report correctly on

So my problem is the following:
I request request and access tokens (I get them).
I create a new AdwordsReport (I create it correctly).

When I do

report.getReport('v201710'{
   reportName: 'Custom Adgroup Performance Report',
   reportType: 'CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT',
   fields: ['CampaignId', "CampaignName", 'Impressions', 'Clicks',
'Cost', 'Amount'],

   format: "CSV"
   });

I get a report, but empty and I don't understand why, because I have this
configuration :

I have an adword manager account and a test account who is linked with the
manager account.
Manager account and test account have campaigns and my billing addresses
(both of them).
I do that request with my test account to get a report from my test
campaigns.

I'm currently using a node module "node-adwords" to do these operations
because the API doesn't offers a REST or node solution (or if it offers,
could you give me the doc for that I searched a lot without a response),
but I don't think that the problem is coming from that module because I've
got my tokens from it.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
Serguei

membershipLifeSpan on CRM Lists with Mobile ID

2018-02-21 Thread Robert Paskowitz
Hi,

We were hoping to get some clarification on the maximum membershipLifeSpan
for CRM-based lists that are using Mobile IDs. Some documentation/samples
[1], [2] indicates that a maximum of 540 days may be used in this case, and
when creating such a list from the AdWords UI, the "No expiration" option
is removed, and a maximum of 540 days may be entered. When creating a list
via API, if no membershipLifeSpan is manually specified, the list is
defaulting to "No expiration", and lists created either via API or UI
(which has a limit on create) may be changed to "No expiration" on edit via
the UI. Being able to set it to "No expiration" from both API and UI has
led to some ambiguity as to whether the limit documented is accurate or not.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

-Rob

Re: Max number of days for membershipLifeSpan in CrmBasedUserList (v201509 AdWords API)

2018-02-21 Thread Robert Paskowitz
Bumping a very old thread, but was hoping to get some clarification on this
point as well.

Below it's stated that the maximum number for CrmBasedUserLists is actually
180, but we were wondering if that has perhaps since been increased in 540.
When creating through the UI, we seems to be able to set to 540, and none
of the linked documentation appears to have been updated to reflect a limit
of 180, however sample code
at https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/samples/python/remarketing
does indicate a 180 day limit.

Has the limit perhaps been updated from 180 to 540 since the reply a couple
years ago, and some sample code is out of date, or is the limit still 180,
but documentation could use some updated?

Thanks in advance,

-Rob

Re: Debugging the conversion tracker created from the API

2018-02-21 Thread sam
Thanks, Vincent,

the actual issue is that the code needs to be embedded in the client side
website. We've already tested the code snippet on our side and that works.

They have a dynamic confirmation page for a purchase, so the snippet will
load and the html will be generated only after a purchase is made.

Is there a guide to help us check if the tracking works properly in this
case?

Thanks,
Sam

Can Logo Image with 4:1 aspect ratio be fetched for ResponsiveDisplayAd?

2018-02-21 Thread Jianbo zhu
Hi, Adwords team,
I noticed that in the below doc, it shows only 3 kind of images can be
fetched (MarketingImage with 1.91:1 ratio, LogoImage with 1:1 ratio,
SquareMarketingImage with 1:1 ratio), but actually a responsive ad can have
4 images. It seems the LogoImage with 4:1 ratio is missing from the doc.
My question is, why cannot this image be fetched? or the doc is not
up-to-date?

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201710/AdGroupAdService.ResponsiveDisplayAd

Thanks,
Jianbo

Your concerns seems to be more related to AdWords as a product instead of
the AdWords API. I would suggest to post your concern in the AdWords

Hi Serguei,

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide you a guide on the implementation of
AdWords API reports using Node.js as this is not included in the current
supported client libraries. However, you may check this reporting basic
guides since
it still has the same structure when creating a report in the AdWords API.
To further investigate your issue, could you provide your CID and reply to

Re: membershipLifeSpan on CRM Lists with Mobile ID

2018-02-21 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Robert,

In the AdWords API perspective, I can confirm that you can set your
CrmBasedUserList object's MemberShipLifeSpan

 to
"1" which should translate to "no expiration". As for the AdWords UI, I
looked further into the documentation that you sent and came across this
guide , which under the
"Membership duration" section, says that its duration is already unlimited
by default.

However, since the AdWords UI part is already out of our team's scope, you
may confirm this information with the product experts at the AdWords
Community Forum

as
they are better equipped to provide you with the information you need.

Best regards,
Peter
