Re: Composer - installing latest version of Adwords API

2017-10-16 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Matthew,

This seems to be an issue on the PHP client library itself. With this, I
suggest you to post this concern here
 so the library
owners can provide you better assistance on this.

Thanks,
Vincent

2017-10-16 Thread Toshinori Minami
I received response from the Support team. According to the response, this
is usually temporary issue.
We have not encounter the error since then.

Thank you.

Re: Why should I create an AdWords Manager Account

2017-10-16 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Alexander,

You may refer to this discussion
 as for the importance
and use of a manager account in AdWords. For your other issue, could you
confirm if you are using the AdWords Scripts or the AdWords UI? If you are
using the AdWords Scripts you may get in touch with their team via their
forum page for
further assistance.

However, if you are using the BudgetOrderService
,

you will first need to request to be whitelisted before you can use the
service's mutate()

 method.
As for the get()

 and getBillingAccounts()

 methods,
you may be able to use them without getting whitelisted.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Keyword Planner responses with ERROR when one Keyword from Keywordsarray is not Found.

2017-10-16 Thread Dimitri Levin
Hi,

I think I've found the bug in TargetingIdeaService. I'm using v201708.

Keyword Planner responses with ERROR when one Keyword from Keywordsarray is
not Found.

Request made: Service: TargetingIdeaService Method: get clientCustomerId:
*** URL:
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/o/v201708/TargetingIdeaService
Request ID: 00055ba4fccbe3d00a56a90a71069cb2 ResponseTime(ms): 332
OperationsCount: 1 IsFault: false FaultMessage: null

I think the response should come with all the keywords, no matter whether a
keyword was found or not.

With best regards,

Dimitri.

How to get all locations?

2017-10-16 Thread Jens Theisen
In the ticket

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!newtopic/adwords-api/adwords-api/ZkYJwa-fDg8

Nimcy asks how to download all location and is recommended to use the
Geotargets table at

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/geotargeting

However, the German city "Köln", for instance, is listed under its English
name "cologne". Even places
that don't have a dedicated English name are often spelled the wrong way
due to the file being ASCII-only.

That way, the list is basically not useful outside English-speaking
countries.

We really need a proper version of the location data.

Re: Error Handling in new Adwords API v201708

2017-10-16 Thread MWA
Hi Jude,
Thank you for replying.

But the problem is we download our client's data and sometimes our client
revoke access and we haven't fully updated that into our system and while
we download data like this.

// Generate a refreshable OAuth2 credential for authentication.
$oAuth2Credential = (new OAuth2TokenBuilder())->fromFile()->build();
// Construct an API session configured from a properties file and
the OAuth2 credentials above.
$session = (new
AdWordsSessionBuilder())->fromFile()->withOAuth2Credential($oAuth2Credential)->withClientCustomerId($customerid)->build();

$adWordsServices=new AdWordsServices();

The error occurs,

Can we catch this error somehow, so that other clients don't get effected?

Thanks.

How to pull CTM(www.calltrackingmetrics.com) data via Adwords API

2017-10-16 Thread chester
Hello, We are trying to figure out how to pull custom conversion(from
calltrackingmetrics) data under adwords account we are currently managing.
Can we pull those custom conversions data via adwords api or analytics core
reporting api? we did some digging and can't find any metrics that we know
of for this columns. Or do we pull this data entirely from a third party
api? Thanks for the help

Possible Subdivisions for Product Group

2017-10-16 Thread Derek T
Good afternoon!

I'm working with the Shopping section within AdWords.

I'm trying to mimic the functionality of the Product Groups section, using
the .NET API libraries. I noticed that when I click on a product group
(for example, "All products") I am taken to a new screen, where I can
choose what to subdivide by.

When I download the Partition Tree, I'm able to see what I previously
selected, but I'm not able to view all possible choices.

As an example, I found a way to view all categories
(constantDataService.getProductBiddingCategoryData), but that just gives me
back the entire categories tree, instead of giving me back only what I
would be able to use, under "All products."

I might be able to figure out some logic to help mitigate that issue, but
it doesn't help me much for Brand, ItemId and so forth. (I wouldn't want
to have the user select a Brand that isn't even applicable to that product
group.)

Before I get too far ahead, here's my question:

*What is the recommended way to display the currently-applicable
subdivision options, when subdividing a specific product group?*

I'm very new to the API, having only worked with this for about two weeks,
so I hope I'm using the correct language in my question.

If there is more information that I can provide, please let me know. I'm
in that scary phase, where I don't know what I don't know.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Jens,

You are right, in the Geotargets table, all the names are changed to match
the ASCII standard for that location. Please check this

 forum
post for a very similar discussion. I will pass on your feedback to the
team to see if it is possible to expose the location name as it is. You can
keep an eye on our blog

Re: How to pull CTM(www.calltrackingmetrics.com) data via Adwords API

2017-10-16 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

If you have setup conversion tracking in your AdWords account, you can use
the fields listed here

 to
retrieve conversion data in AdWords API Reports. If you are using a third
party application to track your conversion, I'm afraid you'll not be able
to use AdWords API to retrieve this data as its not supported in the API.
You could consider setting up a conversion tracker for offline call
conversions and import
your offline call conversions as described here

.

Regards,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Re: AWQL Reporting slowdown?

2017-10-16 Thread AdWordsApiUser
I have been running tests the last couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, as I do not have a snapshot of what throughput we used to
get earlier, all I have been trying with is different settings: GZIP,
no-GIP, different download formats (as reported in another thread), but
nothing seems to affect performance. Our reports have become slower
significantly since around September 7th. I would highly appreciate if
someone could help us with this - we can keep increasing the parallelism,
but that is not the way we want to go - we'll stress the API system, and
likely run into rate issues. I am happy to share any details that might
help with the technical investigation. At a scale of thousands of accounts,
the speed difference really makes a difference.

@Dorian, do you use TSV format by any chance? I keep suspecting that it is
something to do with TSV format reports, but I am not able to prove it in
experiments with a hundred or so reports.

Regards,
MG

Re: AWQL Reporting slowdown?

2017-10-16 Thread AdWordsApiUser
Some more info:

- Is this across all report types, or is there a specific report type where
you're seeing the slower behavior?
It appears across all report types

- Do you see more rows get returned or anything else changed in the content
of the reports?
No Change

- For a single report, how long did it take previously and how long does it
take now?
When pulling reports in bulk, we are roughly getting half the throughput
compared to earlier. I'm talking about thousands of accounts.

Re: Error Handling in new Adwords API v201708

2017-10-16 Thread 'Jude Amagoh' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Could you check that you have imported the namespaces correctly as shown
here
?

Please note that ManagedCustomerService doesn't support partial failures.
The partial failure feature is only supported in the list of API services
provided here
.

When partialFailure is set to true, you need to handle these
partialFailures in the *try* block as shown here
.

You can catch other API exceptions in the *catch* block as shown here

.

Re: Possible Subdivisions for Product Group

2017-10-16 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

I'm afraid its not possible to get the list of available subdivision
options for a particular ProductPartition using AdWords API. You can divide
a ProductPartition based on the product dimensions provided here
.

You can get your current ProdictPartition tree using AdGroupCriterionService
.

I'm afraid you cannot retrieve the list of available Brands, ItemId etc to
create a ProductPartition using AdWords API. You could consider retrieving
this information from the linked Merchant Center account using Content API
. You can
only retrieve ProductBiddingCategory data, which are fixed IDs, using
ConstantDataService.getProductBiddingCategoryData()

.

Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Re: AWQL Reporting slowdown?

2017-10-16 Thread Tomas R
We are currently using AdWords reporting, Analytics Reporting API v4 and
Facebook Ads Insights reporting API.
On average AdWords reporting is approximately at least twice as slow as
Analytics Reporting (usually more) and usually three times as slow as
Facebook Ads Insights API. And yes, we have standard access.
I am pretty sure there should be a way for you to improve the situation.

Creating campaigns, ad groups, keywords with one API call - possible?

2017-10-16 Thread Bryan
Hi, I have been reading through the API documents and it looks like the
examples always have hardcoded IDs - for example, the script to create Ad
Groups has a hardcoded ID for the campaign to use. Is it possible to create
related campaigns, ad groups and keywords all in one API call? For example,
if I want to add a new Campaign called "Campaign A", and create an Ad Group
inside of it called "Ad Group One", and add a Keyword to that Ad Group, can
I do that all at once, or do I have to make 3 separate API calls to create
the campaign, retrieve the ID, then assign the Campaign ID to all my Ad
Groups, then do the same for the Keyword?

Thanks
