Re: Shopping campaigns bid questions

2014-06-30 Thread Amol Sharma
As per my knowledge, at the moment there is no way to use a default bid.
Every ProductPartition must have a separate bid.

Hello Arthur,

Definitely, as long as you campaigns are targeting eligible countries.
There is no special flag / checkbox for the API, just send ads as usual.

INCOMPLETE_SIGNUP - We have done everything we can . . .

2014-06-30 Thread Paul Remote-Keys

 Dear API Guys

Having a bit of a nightmare, and not getting much joy. . . .

I have development staff who I need to pay, but at present we cannot
progress without some resolution from you guys:

We have applied for API Token using production MCC: 400-994-7983

We completed all the paperwork and submitted all requested information.

We currently see the response in the attached file.

We followed this advice:

"t looks like you did not accept Terms & Conditions on your production
MCC. Could you go back into Billing --> Billing Preferences and re-enter
your billing information, and make sure that you click Continue all the way
through, including past the Terms & Conditions screen?"

We attempted to do this and got the following error message:

"We apologise for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your
request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and
will work to resolve it. Please note that using your browser's back button
in AdWords can increase the likelihood of errors. If you think this was the
cause of your error, please try again without using the back button"

This has been going on for two days now . . . . . .

Can someone please advise what (if anything) we are doing wrong so we can
move forward before we get fired!

Thanks

Paul

API Access still not resolved

2014-06-30 Thread Paul Remote-Keys
Guys

I don't know what to do now.

We have jumped through every hoop, signed and agreed to every set of terms
& conditions. Done everything we have been asked. Still, the token cannot
be used in the test MCC (or the production obviously).

Is anyone else having these having these issues and how did you get it
resolved? I am paying development staff to sit around at present as we can
move no further forward until we can get connected . .

Again, we have followed all correct procedures. We have signed now (two)

Any ideas??

Re: API Token

2014-06-30 Thread Paul Remote-Keys
Hi Danial

Thank you for your reply/ Before we even received it, all of the steps had
been taken correctly. We even got another T&C to sign, which we did and
sent back, but the token is still not accepting due to 'incomplete signup'.

I am really pressed for time on this project as I have number of
auto-locksmiths in the UK who expected to be live with their advertising by
now.

Any insight you could give would be great?

Thanks

Re: Internal server error in CampaignCriterionService

2014-06-30 Thread Keith Miles
Hello Ray,

I am the account manager of the client which has had this API error since
13 June.

Could you please give me an update on this issue, and an estimated date on
deploying a fix?

Let me know if you need anything more from our side.

We are concerned because it is taking a long time to fix.

Many thanks,
Keith

Re: Creating a MCC test account.

2014-06-30 Thread Christian Wolf
Hi,

we are planning to test the AdWords API, but we can't set up the necessary
MCC Test Account: whenever we use your provided link, the account creation
wizard will end up in creating a "normal" AdWords account instead of an MCC
test account. We tried with many different email addresses and both new or
existing google accounts.

Is it possible to create a production MCC account and "switch" it to a MCC
test account afterwards?

Best,
Christian

I am trying to access Adwords API using Python. MCC ID:959-154-6985

I have signed up, provided the billing details, and accepted the TnCs. A
credit card detail is showing up. Location - India. However, a mail from
Google clarifies that credit cards are not accepted. Some invoicing is
mentioned.

Anyone knows how to setup this.

Hey Danial.

Thanks for the reply. I do understand that the approval process will take
time. However, I am trying to access using a Test account. And I understand
that the API call should be a success, and it should return a dummy value.
Right?

This error comes up when I try to access the account via the test account.

We had the exact same problem, but I can assure you the link now works
(having created test accounts on Friday and today).

Make sure you log out of all Google accounts before you follow the link ...
I know that's something others have recommended, and it's what I did too.

Cheers
H

Re: Creating a MCC test account.

2014-06-30 Thread Christian Wolf
Hi H,

thank you for pointing us in the right direction - although we logged out
of all accounts, we could not create a MCC test account.

However, we tried using the Chrome incognito mode, and had success - maybe
"log out" inside a personlized Chrome is not the log out needed. While
setting up the account in the privacy mode, we never left the actual setup
page and were able to create a test MCC account (we got a redirect to the
AdWords setup page in the normal mode of Chrome).

tl;dr: if you run into this, try using Chrome's privacy mode for the MCC
test account,

thanks again,
best,
Christian

Re: What is the ID for "Amount Spent"

2014-06-30 Thread Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)
Hello,

If you're looking to retrieve billing information via the API, that's not
currently possible. If the discrepancy is as large as you say, it looks
like you may be making your report too restrictive. For example, maybe
you're excluding campaigns or time ranges that you're interested in.

Mike, AdWords API Team

Re: What is the ID for "Amount Spent"

2014-06-30 Thread Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)
Hello,

I just confirmed by running some reports on my end that the column you
indicated is indeed the Cost column when using API reports. If you are
seeing a discrepancy between the front end and the API, that is likely
because you aren't using the same predicates as the front end report. Make
sure that you have the same timeframe and other restrictions and then try
again.

Use AdGroup CPC setting for AdGroupCriterion within Shopping campaigns

2014-06-30 Thread Jakub Adamus
Hi, is there any possibilty to achieve creating new *ProductPartition in
ShoppingCampaign*, which is Biddable, but with CPC set only at AdGroup
level?

When i try to create BiddableAdGroupCriterion:

   - without biddingStrategyConfiguration - error, it's required
   - without biddingStrategyConfiguration.bids - error, it's required
   - with biddingStrategyConfiguration.bids[].bid = 0 - erorr, it's invalid
   bid
   - with biddingStrategyConfiguration.biddingStrategyType = 'NONE' -
error, it's not permitted for shopping campaign

So is there any other way to create BiddableAdGroupCriterion
(ProductPartition UNIT type) without setting CPC (and achieve CpcBidSource
= GROUP instead of CRITERION). AdWords UI can do this.

API Test Account Setup Unclear

2014-06-30 Thread Mike Smith
Hello, I am trying to set up a test account so I can work with my "real
account" API Token while it is in Pending Status.

I have tried to follow Google's instructions. I have my "real" MCC account
application pending and I have an API token. So I went to Google's
instructions on how to set up a test account
[https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/test-accounts] I have step
1 complete so on step 2 they give you a link to a "new account" set up.
Which I did, however I don't see where this new account is a "test" account
and this account is not a Test MCC account either? So do I need to create a
seperate new TestMCC account and then link my new test account to it, and
if so how do I know that it is a test account for API purposes and not a
real account?

Thank You, can't wait to start bidding via the API

How to specify "Exact" keyword match type while using TargetingIdeaService?

2014-06-30 Thread Vishal Chawla
Hi,

I am trying to get Average Monthly Search for a keyword using the Adwords
API (v201402) in PHP. For this I am using the TagretingIdeaService

 by
specifying my keyword in the *queries* parameter of
RelatedToQuerySearchParameter

.

The response contains data only for the related keywords but not the exact
keyword. I do not find any parameter to specify the *MatchType* as *Exact*.
The Adwords Web Interface shows the exact keyword data and related keyword
data in two different tables.

Is there any way to get the exact keyword data via API?

PartnerSearchNetwork versus SearchNetwork

2014-06-30 Thread infospacecorp

Now that we're upgrading to v201402, we're coming across the new field
AdvertisingChannelType when creating a new campaign. The documentation
seems to indicate that this is a higher level than NetworkSettings, so
we're experimenting as to how campaigns are created through the API with
various AdvertisingChannelTypes and various NetworkSettings. The results
are confusing.

Our biggest confusion is around NetworkSettings.PartnerSearchNetwork. If we
create a campaign with SearchNetwork=true and PartnerSearchNetwork=true, it
creates the same campaign in AdWords center as if we created it with
SearchNetwork=true and PartnerSearchNetwork=false. There doesn't seem to be
any indication on AdWords if the campaign was created through the API with
PartnerSearchNetwork or not.

Can I get some clarification around PartnerSearchNetwork? Does the field
have any meaning in the current API? Would the results be different if I
created a campaign with SearchNetwork=false and PartnerSearchNetwork=true?

Create biddable ProductPartition without setting CPC on Criterion level (Shopping campaigns)

2014-06-30 Thread Jakub Adamus

Hi, is there any possibilty to achieve creating new *ProductPartition in
ShoppingCampaing*, which is Biddable, but with CPC set only at AdGroup
level?

When i try to create BiddableAdGroupCriterion:

   - without biddingStrategyConfiguration - error, it's required
   - without biddingStrategyConfiguration.bids - error, it's required
   - with biddingStrategyConfiguration.bids[].bid = 0 - erorr, it's invalid
   bid
   - with biddingStrategyConfiguration.biddingStrategyType = 'NONE' -
error, it's not permitted for shopping campaign

So is there any other way to create BiddableAdGroupCriterion
(ProductPartition UNIT type) without setting CPC (and achieve CpcBidSource
= GROUP instead of CRITERION). AdWords UI can do this.

SearchNetwork vs PartnerSearchNetwork

How to get "Exact" match keyword result while using TargetingIdeaService (v201402)?

2014-06-30 Thread Vishal Chawla

I am trying to get Average Monthly Search for a keyword using the Adwords
API (v201402) in PHP. For this I am using the TagretingIdeaService

 by
specifying my keyword in the *queries* parameter of
RelatedToQuerySearchParameter

.

Strangely, the response contains data only for the related keywords but not
the exact keyword. I do not find any parameter to specify the *MatchType*
as *Exact*. The Adwords Web Interface shows the exact keyword data and
related keyword data in two different tables.

Is there any way to get the exact keyword data via API?
