Dear gbz80 users, the gbz80 port has been unmaintained for some time, and there was no good simulator. This has led to some deterioration of the port, visible both in bugs and code size. Recently, Lee has written a new simulator for the gbz80, and I have fixed some bugs and made some simple improvements to the peephole rules (see e.g. the graph at https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sdcc/wiki/Philipp%27s%20TODO%20list). While there is still a lot more to be done to improve the gbz80 port and bring it to the level of the other, maintained ports, IMO current sdcc is probably the best that ever existed for gbz80. I thus suggest that all gbz80 port users use current svn or a snapshot from the 17th of January or newer.
