Hello Borut, I downloaded the 32 bit windows setup from sourceforge by clicking on the green box that says 'Download setup-3.1.0.exe' and ran the installer.
This PC is running 32 bit Windows XP, SP3. Setup found the previous sdcc version and asked to uninstall the old version. The old version uninstalled and the new version was then installed successfully. Setup also updated the path. I recompiled three programs for the mcs51, all successfully.
