Maybe this is not the best place to start with this, but... There is an article in the sdcc doc, on anatomy of sdcc. However, this is too vague to provide a clue for those, who want to start making modifications; or to make a new port; or just to understand better how this whole stuff works.
Apparently, there are few of those who gained this knowledge in the hard way - let's call them simply "old boys" :-) But, still, almost zero documentation for the newbies, except the sources themselves... Can I place a couple of questions here, in this thread; aimed at the whereabouts of the compiler - with the hope, that if I get answers from the "old boys", this might be a basis of a "anatomy in depth"/"where to start and where to continue"/"how to port" document in the future? I believe I am untouched enough to ask the right newbie questions, although I might be too stupid to ask the right questions - please help me out if needed.
