I use this line in .screenrc:
hardstatus string '%{= kG}[ %{G}%H %{g}][%= %{=
kw}%?%-Lw%?%{r}(%{W}%n*%f%t%?(%u)%?%{r})%{w}%?%+Lw%?%?%= %{g}][%{B} %Y-%m-%d
%{W}%c %{g}]'
It puts red parenthesis around active screen name. But, when I select last
screen in list, it ignores this config and puts white parenthesis around
screen name.
Follow example in screenshots.
