Correct, our convertor is different from probably everyone elses at this
point, JC 2.1 should change this.  BTW, our convertor is written in
java.

Correct, only the lowest level of communication with the iButton is
native
using our java version of the API, and if you use javax.comm, you could 
make an argument that it's all java. :)
