Good evening, It's been some days since the last email I received from you.
It is quite strange that an issue like this does not have a simple answer... either I can keep KLog in Savannah or not, and a reason for that :-) Today I had to release KLog without being able to release in Savannah. The new version was ready since a few days and I decided to release. This is having an impact in all my users as they are notified if a new version is detected in the repositories (HOSTED IN Savannah) so KLog's users shall not be aware that there is a new release... even the mailing list has simply disappeared... The image of KLog for it's users is not serious and the same for Savannah, honestly. As I explained in a previous email, I choosed Savannah to host KLog not for the features but for being part of gnu.org. I have been happily hosting KLog in Savannah for 19 years (since 2002) but if Savannah is not willing to host KLog, even if I have not received a clear answer, I will move on. I will look for a new hosting for KLog as it is not going to stop just because a Savannah admin decided to remove it all. I really thing that Savannah is a serious project and it is providing a valuable service for the free software community. This is why I am so surprised and unhappy with this reaction but keep waiting for an answer. I will wait a few days more (hopping that everything has been a misunderstanding) before assuming a lack of response as a negative answer and change my KLog source code and the Debian package to point to another repository and assume that Savannah has kicked KLog out without a reason. Thank you for the ride. It was a nice one. Jaime El vie., 26 mar. 2021 19:24, Jose E.
